Broke after less than 2 years :-(
So bummed that this frame just went caput! It was making a loud buzzing noise so that’s how I knew it broke. Tried to restart plug unplug but nothing worked. Got it on sale too. It was really nice while it lasted very easy to install with vPhoto and displayed vertical or horizontal. The magnetized stand broke after a year but the frame worked fine propped up. So sad. I have another smaller one for like 10 years and it’s still kicking.

DO NOT INSTALL THE UPDATE - but the frame overall is good
Was working fine until a mandatory update crashed and now it won't work. Keeps giving an error, "Unfortunately, VPhoto has stopped". DO NOT INSTALL THE UPDATE!**I am updating my review. I still stand by the comment of DO NOT INSTALL THE UPDATE as it will crash and ruin your frame. Could not contact the seller through Amazon, so had to spend days and days searching for the customer service group for the frame. Finally found it and was sent instructions on how to fix the update. Did NOT work. I ended up having to send the frame back and waiting for a replacement to be sent. The person I worked with did get a new one sent out, but it did take a month of back and forth emails to finally get a resolution.**

Frame is OK, APP is NOT
The frame it'self is ok, I like it. Picture quality could be better but you will pay more. I wanted the bigger size and tried to keep the price reasonable. The BIG issue is with the app. It isn't user friendly and has a lot of errors with many complaints. Currently, I can not get rid of an error message right in the middle of the screen; "VPhoto isn't responding" Going to see if I can return it because it isn't worth the hassle.

Not the best viewing angle, but still very good.
We got this to set up a memorial for our dog that passed away. It sits vertical behind his urn. It works really well. You may have to restart it from time to time as it will cut off randomly after a few months of use, then stay on for a few more months. We've had it for about 6 months and maybe had to have reset it three times. Other than that, it works really well. If you have it in a horizontal configuration, looking at it from the bottom it terrible, but as long as you don't set it that far up, it'll work great. If you have it vertical, the viewing angle is terrible to the right, but you can see it all day from the left. Angle it appropriately for the room you are in and it'll be fine.

Picture quality is awesome.
Had to do a couple factory resets, before everything seems to work fine. Have put 1003 photos using the TF card and VPhoto App. Overall very pleased. Sometimes photos sent via the App says they were sent, but they never show up on the frame. Have to check each time I send photos to ensure they are received. Haven't tried the music or video yet, so unsure how well the quality is. Picture quality is awesome.

A nice gift for the non-techies and techies!
I bought this as a Christmas gift in order to share photos of grandchildren with some older relatives without requiring them to use the phone or mess around with USB sticks and the like. The web service that handles the uploads to this device can be slow at times, but it usually connects within a few hours and download any new photos sent to the custom email address for the device. It also makes a nice "chime" sound when new photos are available which is a handy way of notifying the grandparents that something new is available.I do worry that if the provider shuts down the service that it will lose its coolest feature. It would be nice if the API was open sourced to provide an alternative way to push/pull photos.

Nifty digital picture frame
This is the first time I've had a digital picture frame. One thing I will admit that I really like is the touchscreen function on this device. The screen is nice and bright and the controls are easy to navigate through. Some things that I wish it would have had is the ability to mount it on a wall. It does have a magnetic stand that is rotatable to to orientate this landscape or portrait. I wish that there was a way to customize the backgrounds in the settings. I also wish there was an easy way to scroll through the photos while it is playing in slideshow mode. The controls seem to lack the basic Arrow function. Overall, for the price of the device I think this would make a great gift for someone. The screen quality is 1280x800. So images are not crazy sharp but enough for the screen size.
