a little frightening
Turns out that tart cherries have lots of natural melatonin - which can make you drowsy.I took this supplement as I would any other vitamin (with breakfast). And found that I became absolutely exhausted and unable to function. I tried the capsules on three different days, and I ended up back in bed sleeping for several hours each time.I searched the internet and found lots of information about tart cherries and melatonin. But this product has no warnings on the bottle and zero information about how many milligrams of melatonin you could be ingesting when you take it. It's frightening to me to think what this could do to someone who might be taking any other medications that are also sedating. Or what could happen if someone tried to drive, operate heavy machinery, etcIt taught me a valuable lesson about supplements, one that you can read anywhere - supplements are unregulated and you really don't know what you're swallowing. I searched the AmerMed website for any information about these capsules and there was NONE. I threw these in the trash and will be more careful about research in the future.
