Will rust out first year and JVC/Kenwood will not honor warranty
Don't buy Kenwood products. This stereo advertised as a "marine" unit barely lasted one season before it stopped working. Despite it being within the warranty period Kenwood/JVC will not honor the warranty. They consider natural rust/corrosion from the salty air "water damage" and despite there being no exceptions in the warranty text about water damage/corrosion, they still will not replace or repair the unit. Guy at corporate even had the audacity to ask me if I had sealed up the unit somehow before I installed it to prevent corrosion. It's your product! You figure it out. I'm not going to re-engineer it for you.
