My mother ship carry on pack
I fly across the country every weekend for work. My Rush 72 is my carry on, and often times my only luggage (no checked bag). The glasses pocket is big enough that I can keep my expensive sunglasses in their hard case. The cell phone pocket is right at the top where I can grab it for getting through security and has a mesh pouch for my debit card. The best part is the open bay where I "dock" a small North Face (Borealis Mini) backpack which holds the items I want to keep with me after I have stuffed the Rush into the overhead bin. This is a very stiff pack and it will take some time before the webbing softens up so compression strap adjustments are a little tough but provide peace of mind in their robustness. After disconnecting the 4 compression straps, the pack opens up 180 degrees making it easy to get and put coats into the main compartment. I had previously MOLLE attached a EDC pouch onto the back but it is just easier to keep several EDC pouches in the little backpack, which I have to pull out to get through security as the whole thing is too tall to go through the x-ray machine. With the little pack "docked" it is too big to be a carry on so I simply pull it off and hand carry it as my "personal item" into the airplane. This pack with its "kangaroo pouch" for the little pack is a great setup for air travel.

Most likely the most versatile Tac-Pack I'll ever own
This bag is huge! During a normal drill, I’ve used it to carry:17.3-inch ASUS VivoBook18.5-inch portable monitorWireless keyboard and mouseRetractable surge protectorA full set of OCPsA full PT uniform3L water bladderDuring range days, this bag has carried an MRE, ACH, protective gear, wet weather gear, and a dry bag.Every time I pack it, there’s still room to spare, and it feels comfortable on my back.

Nice equipment bag. Please check sizes since it’s quite large
It’s massive. Like tons of space tons of storage locations. Not sure how a military person would use it but for my GoPro/camera set up it works really well having all in 1 bag

Sturdy and roomy
This pack is built to last. The material is tough and the shoulder straps are thick & sturdy. The zippers open and close smoothly with minimal effort. Large main compartment and good sized admin compartment.I carry a lot of things in 2-3 bags (backpack, duffel and grocery bag) between work and home since I spend 24hrs on duty at the firehouse. The Rush 72 allowed me to consolidate everything into one backpack: a laptop, portable monitor, oversized tablet (S8+), clothes, and smaller knickknacks. The pack is on the heavier side with all my items but it feels comfortable on my back. I have yet to take it as a carry-on for a flight but I've seen people with bigger hiking packs get on without issue so this should be fine.

The best of the 5.11 RUSH Series
Thank you for providing genuine products with ample care in the packing. The item received, used for couple of months before i write this review. I'm an avid user of tactical bag packs for travel and have used 5.11 Rush 12 2.0, CT15, CT10 prior to this. Having a 5.11 Rush 72 in my collection helps a lot, as it has more carrying capacity. Very recommend product for those who travel frequently. Sturdy Bag Pack from a reliable brand.

Great Military Molle Pack
THis is an Awesome pack by the 5.11 folks. The Tactical Backpack – Rush 72 2.0 – Military Molle Pack, CCW and Laptop Compartment, 55 Liters is a superb pack for 3 days of even more. Depending how tight you pack. I wish I could had this Awesome pack way back in my youth while I was going around the world taking photos and enjoying life. It is a great bag that I bought the second one and send it to my son in Germany. He is traveling with his family now and it will be a great Fathers day present for him. 5 Stars... NO Doubt.
