I really got fed up with constantly smashing up my previous glass cafetieres and when I saw this item on Amazon I thought perfect solution. I am very pleased with the appearance of this item and it keeps my coffee hotter for longer, than the glass ones. I am glad I bought this and the price was very reasonable for the item. Great product and would recommend.

Having had two glass cafetières which both broke I decided to go for something more sturdy. Happy with the appearance and the size - large mug. Filter works well.

After nearly slicing my fingers off twice when washing - and breaking - two glass cafetieres, I decided to upgrade to something more robust. I needed something that had large enough capacity and could retain heat in my very cold workroom, without me needing constant treks to the kitchen to reheat my coffee in the microwave.I purchased the 8 Cup version, and it is a very robust and solid item. Looks very sleek and smart on my desk, and is very easy to use.Because I can't be arsed with fiddling about cleaning out coffee grounds, I use coffee bags as often as I can. These are great, work really well, and I highly recommend if you are time-poor. Tip: In the large cafetiere, two bags are essential for a good brew.Regarding cleaning: Another reviewer noted about not being able to take it apart to clean. I too had the same issue - the filters and press are attached fiendishly tightly to the bottom of the plunger. So I got my toolbox out and gave it a good twist with my pliers. This solved the issue, and I was able to clean and reassemble easily. If you try this, ensure surfaces are dry so the pliers don't slip, turn the pliers towards you to unscrew (assuming you hold the plunger and filters to the left), and finally, don't over-tighten on reassembly.So far, this cafetiere is doing a great job during its first week. My only gripe is that my desktop mug warmer is proving to be inadequate to keep the pot at a high enough temperature, and on its own, the cafetiere doesn't retain as much heat as I had hoped. Currently experimenting to try and fix this.Overall, happy with my purchase ... so far.

Bought this as it looks stylish and sturdy, however the filter part of the lid has completely fallen apart now, and this was after many weeks of swallowing coffee grounds as the filter failed to keep the grounds at the bottom of the pot. Very disappointed.

The media could not be loaded.  I wish I'd found this sooner. Its well made, feels like it won't break and most importantly keeps coffee very hot. I make a tea and a pot of coffee first thing and drink my tea whilst the coffee is brewing and its still super hot by the time im ready for the coffee.It's got a great feature where you turn the top so it's 'closed' which helps to keep the coffee hot.Buy it, you won't regret it!

The media could not be loaded.  Very good quality good weight too Stayed hot for almost 2hrs came with handy slip mat easy to use. Pour was good no dripsOnly slight niggle is no instructions on cleaning and I’m not managing to get all the coffee grinds out of the filter can’t find a way to dismantle it to clean properly my worries are could it go mouldy.

loved it for the first few weeks. Then over time, the press has become stiff. So it suddenly smashes down and coffee squirts all over my clothing and kitchen. No matter how slowly I press. Shame really.
