To the Heights: A Novel Based on the Life of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati

It has been a delight reading this book each evening to our children aged 4 through to 12 years of age. With four sons, the example of this virtuous young man attracted my husband and I to inspire our boys with Pier Giorgio's life but I found it extremely moving and helpful for myself too especially his patience with his family. It is an enjoyable book for all ages, easy to read and a positive example for us all to see that we are all capable of goodness through our small daily acts. The children always asked me to read on when the reading session was over.We loved it!

My 11 year old son could not put it down. He just got it and he has already read it twice, almost back to back.

Excellent for kids and teens!

I've read as much as I can about the life of Pier Giorgio Frassati, and this novel tells his life story amazingly. I very much enjoyed the literary license the author used to piece together the events of this man's life into an engaging sequence of short stories. I also studied mining engineering and his passion for his trade is presented better than most discerning college kids could hope for.

Grammar check was weak in some spots.

The story was interesting and quite moving - since I didn't expect it to be.I enjoyed it so much, that I want to read it again.

This was an inspirational story and I am glad to know more about Pierre Frassati - Fr. George. It gives the reader something to think about. I recommend it to Catholics and non-Catholics alike. It makes you glad to volunteer time, treasure, and talent to the poor.
