What I was looking for a stone to grind sandalwood. I really didn't care about chandan stick that came along. True to my suspicion, it isn't sandalwood. Some kind of scented stick, it is. Coming to the stone, it is of good quality and I'm able to ground sandalwood easily. Although you might feel it is too soft to obtain good results, it does decent enough job. The packaging was good with proper bubble wrap, given the fragility of stone. Coming to the size of stone, with usage I've come to realise that it is too small (6 inch). A normal hand's single swipe on the stone would be around 10 inches. So, you need to take care to avoid spillovers. There are other stones on Amazon that has skirting and are much bigger, and would make a good option. And cost less.All said and done, it doesn't delight you. Just manages to meet your need.

Received in Broken Condition
1. Patta was broke in 2 Pieces so placed the return request immediately , It took 5 days to get delivered and then it was broken so quiet disappointed , Amazon should ensure highest quality of packing on the other side if the product is made of hard and good quality stone then it should not break-up with small shocks .

Promising at First Place
I'm the first time user of this product hence never had such experience before. I was recommended by mother for the facial use. Being the first user, I can't judge this product. But based on the experience using this product till now, I can surely say that this product is standing on nearly all expectations that were said by my mother. Although one has to work a little bit to get the semisolid form by rubbing this wood on the stone, the outcome is worth to get. Thanks!

Traditional chandan pata.
