Just what I needed
This looks great on the desk small enough foot print but not too small it looks good just want I needed and not wobbly at all when typing.

Love this Desk Converter!
My desk is 30" x 66" so space was a concern. After reading reviews and checking dimensions on lots of these, I decided on this one because the base is 3" shallower than most others. I also chose it because one reviewer stated that they used it without the keyboard tray, which made the size perfect for my small desk.I got it and it took minutes to set it up, mainly because I didn't plan on using the keyboard tray, so it was good to go. I positioned it diagonally on the left corner of my desk, as I felt that left the middle/right of my desk for other tasks. It does overlap my partner's desk by a few inches, but it isn't a problem for her and it is the best angle for me. I used the Velcro strap that they used for shipping to hold my computer on the top, probably not necessary but I felt better safe than sorry since it isn't my computer and I often have students gathered around my desk.It raises and lowers smoothly and easily. No sudden drops or rises. The mechanism does offer a little resistance, which is why it goes up and down without sudden movements. It can be adjusted, but it was perfect for me right out of the box..Initially it was awkward to have the keyboard on my normal desk because it was too low, so I placed it on the top, as it has plenty of space for my large all-in-one and the keyboard and mouse., but that wasn't great either, workable, but still a little awkward and it didn't leave enough space to place the papers I was working from. The keyboard tray is 11" deep, to accommodate the wider, ergonomic keyboards, but I don't use one of those at work so I had my husband cut the tray down to 7-1/2". He did it from the back and had to move the recessed metal screw receivers. He then painted the back black and you can't tell it was modified. It works perfectly now! It took less than an hour.PROS: Sturdy Excellent Quality Looks Great Goes up and down easily and smoothly, easily positions to any height Lots of space to put papers I am typing/reading on the top by the monitor Price: it is reasonably priced, as there was a $20.00 coupon, making it more reasonable The keyboard tray is positioned perfectly no matter what height, doesn't shake when typing When lifted, it leaves more room on my desk. I often lift it and then use the space below to collate and gather paperworkCONS Not really a con if you need it, but the wider keyboard tray made it impossible to fit my narrow deskI am completely happy with this product. I have bursitis and sitting irritates my hip. This product has made working on my computer for long periods pain free. I would (and have} recommended it to others. Everyone who has come into my office loves the look and ease of use. Most plan to purchase one in the near future.

What a beast!
Disclaimer: I got a used version of this item at a significant discount. It was worth the full price, though, and it honestly feels criminal I got it discounted. There was nothing wrong with it besides arriving in a banged-up box.The product itself, I suspect, is indestructible. You need a big heavy desk to support this big heavy desk. I absolutely do not recommend standing on it but I probably could. I could probably run into it with a DeLorean and it would still work. (Also, again, not recommended.) I have two monitors on it, and one of the monitors is on a thirty-pound monitor stand, and I can still lift everything up and down with my wiggly spaghetti arms.At first I honestly wasn't sure if I liked it simply because it is such a PRESENCE in my home office, which had previously felt rather comfy to me. This thing doesn't look comfy. It is a hulking black monster of engineering that is somehow incredibly easy to assemble*.*I might be lying. My husband assembled it, which meant *I* had a very easy time, sitting in my chair, eating Doritos, watching him work.I would buy it again at full price and not feel I'd wasted a cent, but I don't expect I'll ever need to rebuy it, because it will outlive the heat death of the universe.

Compact standing desk
I needed a small standing desk just for a laptop. Most options I tried were wobbly and collapsed under the weight of typing. This was a pretty expensive alternative, but I only had 30” of space at the side of my desk.Pros: well built, easy to lift up and down, plenty of room for my 13” MacBook, keyboard, mouse, phone, and a notepad. Customizable height.Cons: keyboard tray is not sturdy and sticks out pretty far, making it difficult to reach for something you are keeping on the top part. I ended up removing it. I don’t think I would trust this with the weight of a monitor so if that’s your use case, it may not be a fit for you.Update: I did need to add an external monitor and this desk just will not work for that. It’s too unstable when raised with the weight of a monitor so I’ve stopped using it. I’ve dropped the rating to three stars because this is very expensive to be so unsturdy.
