My favourite BIG so far!
There was a lot of build up to this book and it did not disappoint! I love Cannon and Persephone!

Great series
I do so love this series and cannon and Persephone’s story was really good. Strong alpha characters in the team with a strong family feel and the girls had their own club going. Only criticism would be Persephone not really addressing Michael and the snooty friends but also not slapping her sister who literally got off with all her obnoxious actions. Highly recommend this book and the series.

Loved this!
I have read the whole series in a random order! At first, the heroine’s name put me off but then once I started it, I was hooked! Loved it!

Loved
So I have been waiting not so patiently for Cannon's story for what feels like forever! If you already loved Cannon before you will love him even more after reading his and Persephone's story. I mean who doesn't like a quiet, broody, bookworm! I laughed, there were tears! The ending was just perfect! So much love for these two. I feel I say this every time I read one of Samantha's books but hands down Cannon has been my favourite. I'm excited to see what happens next in the Repears world.

What a book
Loved both Cannon and Persephone in all the books they've appeared in, and thus book was just perfect! Laugh out loud, sobbing and every emotion in between.Only one problem, now I have to wait until the next book... I have loved both ice hockey series so far (and hope for character catch ups from both in future books) but I really would love to read about Nixon and his troubles, along with his team and the baseball players too. Not asking for much...

Prepare to be wowed!
Loved reading Cannon and Persephone’s story. Cannon is a strong male protector with so much sadness in his life. He has a reputation for fighting and anger issues. Persephone is his sunshine, a light in the darkness. She was pure and loving with a backbone of steel.

Worth the wait
I’ve been waiting for this book since the chemistry between these two were first introduced. This book did not disappoint!! I’ve loved each of the stories from the beginning with Gage and Samantha Whiskey does not disappoint her fans. One of my favourite authors and I would recommend this book 100%. Though if you haven’t read this series then start with Grinder... trust me! It’ll be worth it!!

Another good read in the series
Another nice read from this author. Read the books in order to get the best out of the stories. Cannon is on the Reaper ice hockey team and Sephie works for their charitable organisation. There has been two years of Cannon thinking how lovely she is but has managed to stay away until a night of celebrating in Vegas has him married to her. He gets her to live with him to manage the situation which works until they sleep together. She has no idea about his past and when you find out what this lovely man went through its no wonder he is seen as Mr Grumpy. He had closed himself off to love.

This book has stuck with me for years!!

Persephone is the head of the team's charitable foundation. She is sweet, wealthy, gorgeous, sassy and everything Cannon has fought against his whole life. One crazy night in Vegas and here they are married and this is where our story begins....My Thoughts 💭I read this book a few years ago and just realized I never reviewed it. This book has stuck with me as one of my favorite fake relationship/hockey romances and I re-read this book often.I love the chemistry that Cannon and Persephone have both in and out of the 🛏room. Persephone seems like the shy woman next to the big, bad hockey player but this girl holds her own. She has a sharp tongue and she is not afraid to use it. But don't worry, she also has manners and is sweet and basically the whole package.I love the OW drama that is in this book and I absolutely love how loyal Cannon is to his wife. He had many times he could have cheated but he didn't and he stood up for his wife to her family 👏🏼 bravo!I think if you are looking for a book that will stick with you and a strong FMC and MMC then I would say definitely check out Cannon because you will not be disappointed.

"Loving you is as easy as breathing"
What a nice surprise! Cannon is the alpha-tattooed hockey player and Persephone is the petite-yet-fierce charity Manager for the team. They seem an odd couple and thanks to a Las Vegas wedding they are together.Great humour, good developed side characters, sad background story and multi layer main characters. I loved Cannon's philosophy match with Michael...I'll definitely continue to the rest of the books in the series.

Another Fabulous Hockey Romance
*Sigh* Another great book by Samantha Whiskey. For those of you who are new to her work, prepare yourselves for a story filled with love, laughter, and impressive depth. For long time fans, know that this book delivers at the highest level of Ms. Whiskey’s considerable skill.I have said it before, but there is something so immersive about Ms. Whiskey’s writing style. Through her descriptive prose, I really felt for the characters. I got drawn into their joy, their pain, their uncertainty... All of the wide array of their emotions. Their thoughts and feelings were so well fleshed out that I would challenge anyone not to experience a deep empathy for where they are coming from. Cannon’s early years, in particular—though far different from my own—were so well described that I felt like I was able to catch a glimpse of what that life must have been like, as well as how it would have shaped him into the man he became.I love how this story alternates between the hero and the heroine’s perspectives. I enjoyed getting to experience the evolution of Cannon and Persephone’s relationship from both of their perspectives. I don’t know about you, but I always feel like there is something a little lacking in a romance that only offers one character’s perspective. Being female, I tend to relate more to the female perspective, but I just love reading how the hero comes to cherish and admire the heroine. The love and high regard he holds her in is just so delicious to read.A story about two people waking up in Vegas, surprised to discover that they are married, is nothing new; what is new is the way this particular story unfolds. I don’t want to give too much away, so I will just say that Cannon and Persephone are both great characters. Their backstories make them feel real and raw, but also powerful and empathetic. It’s hard not to want to see them find their happily ever after.I really enjoyed this book. Other than a few typos (which I understand might have been addressed after ARC feedback came in), I think it was about as good as it could be. I believe it could stand on it’s own and be enjoyed without having read the earlier books in the series, but I confess I think I liked it even more due to my familiarity with the supporting characters. As such, if you can, why not start from the beginning and read all of the Carolina Reapers’ novels? Prolong and deepen the enjoyment, I say. :-)

Love Cannon and Persephone
I have always liked Cannon. He is such a big growly bear with a soft centre. He is protective and caring of those he loves. It was sad to hear how tough his life was. Persephone is tiny but badass and just exactly what Cannon needed. He deserved the love and light she brought into his life.Always love caching up with the Reaper world. Looking forward to the next book.

Study in Contrasts
Cannon and Persephone are so different! Can they manage to stay in their marriage for the long haul or will they go their separate ways?Ms. Whiskey writes a believable story keeping the characters grounded despite their unusual circumstances. I particularly found Cannon’s history interesting and I needed to assure myself they could have their HEA.
