Tung oil is easy to use and really highlighted the character of the wood. Pure tung oil (no solvents) allows it to be used indoors, has a pleasant, nutty odor during curing

I've been treating my 42 year old deck with another product and it didn't last 6 months. I bought my dad's house and he built this deck 42 years ago. He sealed the deck with a oil like soak in conditioner. I thought it was Thompson water seal so that's what I used for years. The last 6 years it didn't work like it did before. This oil soaked right in and the wood is so nice and smooth. Color is natural which is a benefit. I don't want to use a stain.
