RV Camping in Corps of Engineers Parks: Guide to over 600 Corps-managed campgrounds on nearly 200 lakes around the country

Had to return this book it is written for camping east of the Rockies only has a few campgrounds in the west. This should be noted in the description so people don't waste their time. If you live in the east it may be helpfull.

A useful book.We just subscribed to Allstays.com and it has info on all COE campgrounds as well. COE icons are displayed on the map of the US. You can click on any one of them to get basic info, and links to Google Maps, "street view", satellite, reviews, website, photos, etc.Still, when traveling, the Internet is not always available, and Allstays is web based. So we will still carry this book.

We are new to RV travel and this is a great help. With the Senior National Park pass, our rate for a park near us is $14/night with water, electricity and sewer. The book and maps make it easy to find sites.

I like the format and there's lots of useful info. However, why doesn't it list all Army Corps campgrounds? I stayed in a great Corps campground in rural Illinois, on a lock of a Mississippi River tributary, but it's not in here. Naturally you wonder what else you'll miss by relying on this guide.

This is a useful resource and the Parks that are listed are wonderful and inexpensive. They should be everyone's first choice.

Good list of corp of engineer parks. We like that we can get a discount with senior national park pass. This book limits to parks that RVs can camp in so cuts out some wasted time searching.

I liked that this book is easy to page through and find the corps park you are looking for. Also, there is very good information about each park as well as the location of the park. I have two negatives. I wish there was pictures of the parks and also, there are some parks not in this book.

Perhaps my expectations were too high. Not much here that I can't get out of a general web search.
