One of My Favorite Protein Powders
I have always loved the way this tastes. I find it very decadent & it is a great supplement for that reason. Keep building that muscle! The texture is luxurious and very creamy without clumps when blended in my shaker bottle. This is a good price for the amount of high-quality product that is easy use.

10 years and it’s still BY FAR my favorite.
After 10 years we still come back to this protein powder. All time favorite. The price is so worth it. This flavor is superior and it’s super easy to blend and is the best texture by far for protein shakes, no clumps or weird powdery texture. We still keep going back.

Best protein powders I’ve ever tried!
The Mint Chocolate Chip Cold Stone Edition Syntha-6 is hands down one of the best-tasting protein powders I’ve ever tried in over two decades of using supplements. I mix one scoop with a cup of Fairlife Fat-Free Lactose-Free Milk in a shaker, and the result is incredibly smooth and creamy — it genuinely reminds me of a Baskin-Robbins mint chocolate milkshake. At around 200 calories per scoop, you can tell where that rich flavor comes from. It’s slightly on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it. The entire Cold Stone Syntha-6 line delivers outstanding taste and texture.

Anyway this protein product fit the bill nicely. Along with this new pre workout. I look for 4 things when picking out ...
I've been taking some form of protein powder for over a 20 year period. Recently, I've looked for an all in one powder that I can readily make and shake after workouts as well as before bed or during the day if I need a quick meal replacement. This would replace whey after a workout, and casein before bed I am just tired of buying multiple bottles of protein powder. I also just started using a new pre workout instead of C4 it's called METAHUMAN by Prime SUPPS . I found it cheap and works well. This stuff with protein on an otherwise empty stomach in the AM before cardio is really shredding the fat away and gives me great energy throughout the day! Anyway this protein product fit the bill nicely. I look for 4 things when picking out a protein powder (not in any particular order) : 1) Nutrient profile: This has 22 grams of protein, and includes a mix of whey and casein, which is what I was taking before in two separate products. It also has 15 grams of carbs, which is pretty low (I'll buy anything below 20g of carbs, but the lower the better). 2) Flavor: Taste is pretty good. I usually get protein in either chocolate or vanilla, and I got the Vanilla Syntha-6. It doesn't have any sweetener aftertaste or gritty flavor, which is a problem. I usually mix it with water, it tastes as good in water as it can taste. I'll occasionally mix it with milk, which makes it almost creamy tasting but beware Dairy can make you hold water so I only do that when I am bulking or not worried about overall calorie intake. 3) Mixability: Syntha-6 mixes extremely well in water or milk in my shaker bottle, with no clumps. A little bit sticks to the side, which I will chalk up to normal it’s sort of unavoidable. 4) Price: Price was descent and better than I can find in a GNC or similar store. Under $25 for over 28 servings of quality protein is a good deal. It's not the cheapest protein powder, but you get what you pay for. IDK everyone has their own favorite protein but this one seems to cover a lot of bases especially if your not prepping for a show. Good luck in finding what works for you!

Tastes Great, But Macros/Calories are Questionable
This is a very good tasting protein powder, and it digests well for me. (I have had big problems with a few protein powders.) It mixes very easily with no lumps, and with whole milk, it tastes more like melted ice cream than a protein shake. The biggest downside is that there is no indication of how much of each protein is in this. It's whey and casein, but in what ratio? It would be good to know so I can judge how to best use it. Also, the calorie count is sus. If you add up the calories from fat, carbs, and protein, it comes to 169, but the label says 190. So I am really questioning what is going on there. It's too far off the just be rounding error. Also the 6 g. fiber is way higher than almost every protein powder I have ever seen, so that's a little sus also. I would say I just don't believe the label at all. It has a lower protein content than most protein powders, especially compared to all-whey powders. Around 52% of the calories are from protein. (Again, using the calculated calories, not the 190 on the label which cannot be correct.) Compare this to ~75% for typical wheys like Optimum Gold Standard, 70% for Ghost, and up to 90% for Transparent Labs. Overall, this is a lower-nutrition (or unknown nutrition) protein powder, but it tastes great and mixes well. If you are going for a bulk, this is a good breakfast protein booster. It seems to also be pretty good for post-workout and decent for bedtime snack, but that's where having the whey/casein ratio would really help determine where it fits best. I will most likely not buy it again due to the lower protein content and unknown protein ratios. Also note that the scoop does not hold 47 grams. I am seeing about 35 grams for a level scoop. Getting to 47 grams requires piling it so high that some inevitably falls on the countertop during prep. With a level scoop, you are getting only ~17 grams protein.

BSN Syntha 6 is one of the best tasting proteins I have ever tasted, by far! I tried out a lot different proteins and flavours over the years and Syntha 6 is a 10/10 when it comes to taste. It feels like drinking a creamy vanilla ice-cream milkshake if you mix with a little milk. Ideal for pre-workout drink that you can take in the afternoon. If you’re new to Protein Supplements, here’s an in depth review below. BACKGROUND Most protein supplements that are in the market offer blends of different types of whey proteins. To make it easy, let me break it down for you. There are three types of fast digestive proteins, the cheapest is the Whey Concentrate typically a mass gainer with lots of carbs - Dymatize Super Mass Gainer 6 Lbs,Rich Chocolate , then comes the more expensive Whey Isolate Dymatize Nutrition Elite Whey Protein Powder - 5 lbs (Rich Chocolate) and then the most expensive Whey Hydro Isolate Dymatize Nutrition ISO 100 Whey Protein Isolate Powder - 5 lbs (Gourmet Chocolate) . Concentrate typically takes about 2-3 hours to digest, Isolates can be digested in your system within 2 hours, Hydro Isolates can be digested within an hour and work best as Post Workout drinks). Basically, the price of your protein directly depends on the % of Whey Isolate or Whey Hydro Isolate present. There is also a slow digestive protein called Casein which is cheaper or almost the same as Whey Concentrate, treat this as a bedtime supplement as it takes about 6 hours to digest. What is BSN Syntha-6 Protein Powder - 5 lbs (Vanilla Ice Cream) ? BSN’s Syntha 6 is made of 6 ingredients that delay the digestion of its main proteins. This delay ensures that you are getting protein supplies all throughout the day. BSN claims the other products burn through their protein supply in one to three hours but with this product you are expected to have a steady chain of 6 different leading proteins and amino acids all through your daily routine. Speaking of reality, all day = 4 - 6 hours depending on your body’s metabolism for a scoop.' What Is Inside This Powder? Six types of fast and slow digesting proteins comprise the blend - Whey protein isolates, whey protein concentrates, egg protein, and casein proteins. Added in this mix are several amino acids, fibre, digestive enzymes, and glutamine. Allergen Advice: It may contains egg, milk, soy, fish oil, tree nuts and other natural extracts or essential oils. Syntha 6 nutrition facts (per serving) Zero grams of trans fat, only 2g of saturated fat, 200 calories sufficient for any workout routine, 22g of protein, and high doses of calcium, iron, phosphorous, and magnesium What is the Difference Between Syntha 6 and Syntha 6 Isolate ? There are two variants sold as you might have come across. The Syntha 6 and the Syntha 6 Isolate. As you might have guessed, Syntha 6 Isolate is the more expensive version of Syntha 6 with fewer carbs and complete Whey Isolate focussing on carb conscious fitness pros. It has about 60 less calories per serving, 3 extra grams of protein per serving (25g). Very little fat and a decent taste. If you take two servings per day that's 120 extra calories you don't have to worry about. Isolates get easily absorbed into body and are best consumed as post-workout drinks or early in the morning when you wake up. CONCLUSION Slightly on the expensive side, this protein is great for an afternoon smoothie perhaps an hour or two after lunch while your body craves a little protein and will keep you going till your evening workout. In addition, you MUST drink a lot of water. From a lecture of Dr Tara Swart of MIT Sloan, your body requires 500ml of water for every 30lb (13.6 Kg) of your weight in a day to function normally. If you are considering Whey Isolate for post workout, I would recommend Dymatize Nutrition ISO 100 Whey Protein Isolate Powder - 5 lbs (Gourmet Chocolate) which is the best whey isolate I've tried. Smoothie recipe = 1 scoop (vanilla) + 1 Apple + Banana + 100ml Almond Milk + Ice Cubes in a Blender . You’ve got yourself a meal replacement. PLEASE NOTE: Insufficient water intake can give you Stomach pain/ Abdominal Pain with protein supplements. NOT to be considered professional/medical advice.
