Bone Saddle – Fits Many 1997 to 2019 Martin® Guitars – 11 mm Height - Wave Compensated - Unbleached

Really happy with this saddle. It came with everything I needed to size it perfectly. They even sent me an email with a video. All I needed was some simple sanding and kept checking for measurement. Take your time and you will have a great setup. My Martin D15 sounds great!

I used this for a 1998 Martin SP000-16, It worked out beautifully. I had to sand a hair off the width and length but it was near perfect as it came. Then I cut the height as needed and it actually sounds better than the original saddle. Definitely recommend

I bought the saddle for replacement on a fairly new Martin D41 that I acquired. I grew up the child of a luthier so it was a little easier for me probably, but anyway the saddle has enough height to do any type setup you like. The top is somewhat pre sanded the correct direction to accommodate correct intonation of most Martin upper end guitars , (I’m not above a cheap Martin, I just have no experience with them). I had to take a little more off but not much to get it to play in tune. ( helpful tip if string plays sharp file or sand top towards pins, if flat remove material on top towards headstock). Use rule with 32nds inch, check work against old saddle string up and set neck relief, then play some mean bluegrass baby. I would buy this one again if I needed it

5 stars for the quality.However, i received nothing for my second purchase except for sandpaper. i’m not sure who’s fault this is but since i know it’s a great bone i won’t give a low review. i just don’t understand how they did not realize there had been no bone when they packaged it into the amazon shipping envelope. they should’ve immediately noticed the missing bone from that the lack of rigidity in the little baggie, but all humans make mistakes. i contacted amazon and they gave me a refund so i simply repurchased. please do prevent this from happening again. I would be actually upset if this was my first time ordering but it wasn’t.my first experience with this bone was fantastic. it was a perfectly snug fit which was really nice. sounded great too.

I love this saddle, it fit perfect in the slot. I just had to tweak it a little for my liking it was a bit too snug, plus I wanted to lower the action on my guitar strings so I sanded of the compensation and rounded off the top slightly lower than the original saddle it had on before. The reason I rounded off the top is because I have noticed that high end Martin guitars don’t have a compensated saddle, just a normal even saddle top, so I wanted to try it out for myself and I have no regrets. Love the sound it produces now, and I love my guitar more than ever. I also paired it with some bone bridge pins and it seems to have a well balanced warmer tone, the saddle it had before was made out of tusq and plastic bridge pins and now it actually sounds the way I wanted it to sound. I will buy another bone saddle from this seller in the future. By the way this guitar is a Martin D Special Ovangkol.

This saddle fit and finish was excellent for my Martin 000-28 EC. but when I started the take some off the bottom for adjustment, it gave off a very strong bleach odor, like other bleached bone I've worked with.You can see the difference in bone next to my unbleached bridge pins and old saddle.I'd still buy it again and hope for a real unbleached one in the future.

Excellent product and it is easy to understand how to modify it after watching the video. I replaced what I'm guessing was the stock bridge in my Martin GPCRSG. I Was having a problem with a deadening of my EBG strings past the 12 and up. Not only did this fix the issue by sanding almost to the line the whole guitar pleasantly sounds clearer and a little louder. The only complaint is if your current bridge action is set low you may need a larger piece of 120grit sand paper. When my Taylor 814 bridge needs changed I will definitely purchase this again!

I didn't want to sand the original saddle, so bought this. Perfectly fitted my Martin (X series). I sanded it to my liking to lower the action and now the guitar is easier to play. The sound, to my ears, is not different to the original saddle (I am just an amateur/hobbyist player). Overall I do recommend this saddle to replace original Martin's.
