My wife and I bought this for our wedding for the ring barer to carry. Held the rings well but the lid could be more secure with a magnet or latch. It only comes with 2 wooden hearts so practice your handwriting with markers/pens before using them. I wasn’t happy with the results so we left them off and wrote on the lid of the box instead.

I know it's supposed to BE for wedding rings or some such nonsense but it CAN, I think, be used for any some-thing sentimental to you or for a loved one, i.e.; I got this for my oldest daughter("old"-est, Ha! She's all of 17) bcos I got her a VERY special birthstone ring as well as another semi-preci- ous stone ring, like one I had as a youngster, for her birth- day and wanted to pressent it in a way that it showed its importance. And this box does just THAT! And when the box arrived it blew me away! It comes looking exactly as depicted and looks even better in the up close & personal way; from the white-washed like paint job to its little gold design & the little stick-on hearts; which you can write what you want on. And also it's bare wood grain; no gloss, no finish, no varnish -it is gorgeous; then again I'm a 'nut' for 'whitewashed' or unfinished wood & "Oh" it's smell - so pure. I got the "antique white."
