Nalgene bottles have been my favorites for 20 years and the exciting variety of colors in the Sustain line are irresistible! This model is most convenient for everyday use when I’m in and out and on my feet vs. on a hike or sitting at my desk most of the day. My 32oz bottle is too heavy to carry when I’m heading to a meeting or taking the dog for a quick walk, and the 16oz narrow-mouth bottle is quite a bit wider, so it feels bulky in my purse. This 14oz wide-mouth bottle has a slimmer shape that fits easily in my purse as well as most car cup holders. It’s also easier to hand wash than the narrow-mouth models, though all are dishwasher safe in the top rack. Quality and construction are excellent, as always!Well worth the price, so go ahead and choose your favorite color even if it’s a couple dollars more than others. (I think prices vary depending on their original release date.) You’ll have this bottle for years.

As of 2024, I’ve been using my first wide-mouth 16oz Nalgene for 17 years (and I got it used so it’s actually older), and truly love the size. It’s easy to bring everywhere - it fits in car cup holders & in beer can coozies (12oz coozies fit, and 16oz coozies fit even better), can be thrown in any bag, and with the cap loop and a carabiner it can be clipped to a belt or backpack or almost anything else.The cap loop on my OG 16oz broke a year or so ago, and I missed being able to clip my bottle to things, plus missed not needing to hold onto the cap while drinking. I wanted more 16oz Nalgene bottles anyway, and I couldn’t find a replacement cap in a colour I wanted, so I bought three new wide-mouth 16oz Nalgenes in colours that would be fun to mix & match.The current tritan material doesn’t seem too terribly different from that of my 17+ year old & 22+ year old polycarbonate Nalgene bottles (aside from being BPA free & whatnot), but of course time will tell if they hold up as well as my originals. I do have one of the first BPA free Nalgenes from around 2008, and since it’s held up well I have high hopes for these new ones.With four in this size (plus a new narrow-mouth 16oz), I can keep one in my car at all times, I can use one for smoothies or protein shakes, I can keep my original 16oz at home to use around the house (so the one with sentimental value doesn’t get lost or damaged), and I can rotate which bottle travels with me & which are getting washed.This Nalgene would be a great option for kids to take to school. It’s a nice simple bottle that’s easy to wash, with no silicone or rubber parts to wash (or destroy or lose). The size is great for small hands, and fits easily into the bottle-holders on lunch bags and backpacks.

these are great water bottles to have handy around the house. We like that they are BPA free. We use them for water or to mix in juice. We like the wide mouth and they are easy to clean.

I love Nalgene. This little half-liter bottle is sometimes easier to stash than the regular widemouth.
