Easy to use very versatile the rubber bar keeps your grip from slipping and is soft to touch. A "solid" piece of exercise equipment and a tip to increase its effectiveness and efficiency in giving you more strength.
The 36-pound Body Solid Tools weighted bar is a very versatile piece of exercise equipment to use in order to get into shape if you have limited space and/or a limited budget. It can be used for a variety of upper and lower body exercises. Whether utilized for standing presses, curls, squats, lunges, etc., this exercise "tool" can do it all. This bar does not take up a lot of space and can be discreetly slid under your bed or up against the wall when not being used. Some may complain that once the 36-pound weight of the bar is mastered there is no way to add additional weight. I have found a simple solution for this problem that allows you to increase the weight of the bar in varying adjustable increments according to your own goals and desires. I have discovered that you can safely strap onto each end of this weighted bar one or more sets of good quality ankle weights to increase the bar's total weight and thus increase your strength training goals. I recommend the Champion Sports Soft Adjustable Ankle and Wrist Weights, 10 pound set (two 5 pound ankle weights per set). It can be purchased here through Amazon: Champion Sports Soft Adjustable Ankle/Wrist Weights, 10 Lbs These are durable ankle weights with strong one piece straps that allow you to safely strap them onto the ends of the Body Solid Tools Weighted Bar for a nice, snug fit.The bar's long length allows you to strap on two or more sets of ankle weights onto each of the bar's ends without taking up too much space. There is still plenty of room left available for proper and comfortable hand holding positions of the weighted bar. Again, the Body Solid Tools Weighted Bar and Champion Sports Soft Adjustable Ankle and Wrist Weights makes an excellent combination.

This 12# bar is great for people with shoulder pain or tendonitis
This 12# bar is great for people with shoulder pain or tendonitis. I use it on my inversion table and for areobic workouts to music. So perfect for stretching and a faster movement. I can also simulate my kayaking stroke for brief periods which also gets the heart rate going. The qaulity is very good, it's just a matter of what weight works for your needs. I have the 12 and 36, and may get the 24 or 30. The 36 is 6' long and good for press or curls. So pick 3 different bars for different workouts, if I were to only have one, probably the 24 or 30.

Great Squat bar.
I live in a small apartment that doesn't have a gym sadly and I really wanted to be able to do squats and bench presses. Weighted bar was the best option and I decided to go with this brand because they had 36lbs. This is a solidly build weight bar with foam all throughout the bar and rubber tips. Very sturdy and works well. Super easy to hide behind my bookcase along with my free weights. Only downside is with the 36lb bar it's 6 feet long. Considering I'm only 4'9" tall, this is a pretty long bar. It does make it difficult to maneuver it around, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. Definitely recommend if you're in an apartment and need something to workout with at home that doesn't take much room.

Great product, wider than expected
This bar is an awesome workout. I use it for squats, two-handed curls, reverse two-handed curls, and more. However, the bar is almost 2 meters wide. This makes it difficult to manuver, if you plan on doing that. I have it in my basement and it restricts some exercises for me, like benching. It is nicely padded like the other reviews say. You may also experience unbalancing while lifting which is normal, not a defect. If your a hero and plan on overcoming your limit by purchasing the 36 pounder, you will probably experience this unbalance.

Nice upper body bar
I used a similar 4 pound bar in physical therapy so I was excited to find one at an excellent price. It arrived carefully packaged without any assembly. It's a great piece of exercise equipment for upper body.

Comfy, durable, easy on the wrist
I have had the 24 lb bar for over 6 months now. I love how comfortable it is on my shoulders and how nice the foam is on my wrists. The construction is durable. I can easily store it under the bed without worry of damage the wood floor and it won't roll away from me.

Body Solid Tools.
Was using a weight machine when my 24 lb. bar arrived love this solidly built bar.. Never use a weight machine again. Ordering more bars, different weights. These are excellent for working out and weight is true. Machines are easy compared to these real weight bars. Ordered 30 pound bar five minutes ago. I'm 76 years old and going up in weight slowly.
