One pen to rule them all
I have never been a pen person. We all know one. Someone announces that they are in need of a writing implement and the pen person arrives out of nowhere like an angel from the sky, blessing them with the power of ink. I have never been that person. I have always been the one that loses a Bic as soon as I put it down. But all that has changed.I am now THE pen person. The Parker jotter has changed my life. I keep it my back pocket it all times and when anyone is in their time of need, I arrive. There is one downside though. As soon as you lend it to someone, your mind will not be able to focus on anything else until that pen is returned to you.Buy this pen. Your family will love you again, you’ll earn respect from your workmates and maybe, just maybe, your ex will take you back.5/5, good pen.

My trusted writing companion for almost half a century
I’ve been writing with this type of Parker pen since I was taught how to write.. many decades ago. I very much like the style, the weight and the grip. Most importantly the durability is generally very good. The metal top end offers very good protection against chewing and general wear. The only historic weakness is the clip, that when I was a schoolboy used to break after a few weeks – these days I’m better able to control my tendencies. I struggle a bit more with two aspects of the modern Parker pens of this type; first, the push button on top is now rounded and polished. For sentimental and aesthetic reasons I prefer the old variant with the sunken rim and Parker logo printed on the button. Yet this more recent variant is probably more hygienic. Secondly, the new painted metal bottom part looks nice but I think the former little chrome band above the tip just gave the pen a more distinguished look. Also metal (aluminium I suppose) has replaced the former plastic bottom part, this enhances durability and prevents the body from scratches in theory. But the spare modern one I have already has paint damage near the tip. Either way, rather than a colour I always have the harder to find plain stainless steel lower body variant that looks a bit more stylish. I’ve always sworn to the finest blue tip.Professionally the most important reason to have this pen is that is looks decent and modestly chic but everyone knows its not outrageously expensive, like a Montblanc pen (while the functionality is similar). This is very important to me as I am in trusted relationship with significant clients and advisors and I can’t afford to come across as sensitive to luxury nor as careless about appearance. Also an expensive pen would be a waste as I tend to lose my Parker pen every other year at meetings or conferences.I was quite pleased to find my favourite Parker pen variant at Amazon, at less than half the price than the various city high-street stationary shops. So I bought 2 of them to be prepared for my next inevitable loss. And of course I highly recommend these pens.

Very inaccurate advertising
I ordered this pen on the fact that the pen pictured and the description clearly state and show that this is a parker london pen, it is no such thing, the product arrived in a very different box to what was pictured, what arrived is some cheap clinky fake or bad knock off, it does not bear the proper stamping of real parker pens. nor does it have the same quality, how they think this is acceptable to be so deceptive is beyond me.its very grifty-like to advertise it as a parker london pen when they send you a different product to what is pictured. scummy behaviour, its a real shame.dont make the same mistake as me and many others, if your looking for a quality Parker product, you want to keep looking as theres nothing of that sort here.

Great pen for use or gift
It’s a few years I’m using Parker pens,High quality, nice metal pen.Easy to hold and comfortable to write. It looks and feels much more expensive than what you actually pay. It’s great for gifts and for your own use too.Just pay attention the ink is blue, so if you need black, you need to buy replacements too.Great value for the money.

Not what was expected
I bought one of these last year and it came in a great presentation pack, as in the picture on amazon here. The weight and quality of the build was great and I loved the pen until I lost it. So I bought another one, and what a change, cheap packaging, not different to a bic biro , it feels lighter, the ball point is not smooth and the ink smudges, what happened within a year??? Will not be buying a parker pen online again.
