I am so delighted with this tea set! The Auratic Chun Hao Tea Set, Butterfly Dancing on Sunflower, 21-Pieces, is a high-quality product all the way through from the shipping precautions down to the teaspoons. I hoped that none of the pieces would be broken, and every measure was taken to insure safe shipping. The "box-within-a-box" was heavily covered with bubble-wrap and all pieces arrived safely. The bright gold storage box is so sturdy, that at first, I thought it was made of wood instead of heavy cardboard. Inside the storage box is a sectioned Styrofoam block lined with gold satin. Each piece of the tea set fits snugly into its own compartment. The tea set itself is so lovely! The creamy color of the china is exquisitely accented with gold in the simple, but elegant, butterfly and sunflower design. The appearance of the set is tasteful and classy, but the pieces themselves have a substantial feel. If you are afraid of holding a delicate teacup--maybe you have arthritis or a hand impairment--then you can relax with these well-crafted cups and other pieces. This set would make a wonderful wedding or anniversary gift, or a great gift for someone who loves tea and is difficult to shop for--it will make quite an impression! The lovely creamy white color with the fine gold detail will complement just about any china pattern, especially ones trimmed in gold. Once you see this beautiful tea set, you will find it hard to give to someone else. You will want to pamper yourself with frequent "high teas". Here is one of my recipes perfect for just such an occasion:AUNT GRANNY'S TEA CAKES1 cup butter (no substitutes), softened1 1/2 cups sugar3 eggs1 tablespoon vanilla extract3 cups all-purpose flour1 tablespoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon saltpowdered sugar for toppingIn a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture (the dough will be soft). Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 7-8 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool. Place on a serving plate and sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.

My s.o. really likes this set. I am much less excited about it.It does not appear as green as in the photos. In fact, it is just plain white with gold ornaments, and it looks a little too plain to me.The shapes are just as angular as shown on the photos. I prefer tea sets without sharp angles. Round pots, cups and handles are my thing.Finally, it is made in China. I know, that's why china is called china. However, I would have much preferred it if were made somewhere this side of the Pacific.Ultimately, it is a matter of esthetics. If you like "Asian" looking objects, and you like simple white and gold trimmings, you will like this set.

The Auratic Chun Hao Tea Set is absolutely lovely, and I mean all aspects of it are lovely. The tea set comes in a sturdy yellow box with fabric covered styrofoam to hold each piece. The pieces are subtle and elegant. It looks exactly like the picture. This china set is perfect for hosting fancy parties with your friends and family. Yet, there's also something youthful about the set and it doesn't feel stuffy as it holds your tea and beverage. Now, I wouldn't say this is an every day set, but it's one that is worth taking out when visitors are over.

First of all...I could not serve any ordinary tea in this exquisite set! Before it even arrived...in pristine condition...I might add...I bought a lovely flowery herbal tea to serve in my new tea set for the first time! Unwrapping each piece was delightful...it truly is lovely. It is not overly done...there are lovely golden flowers and butterflies on my pieces...the tea cups even have a lovely butterfly inside of them. The actual color of each piece is a delightful creamy white. The delicate clink of the matching spoons into the teacups is pure music to my ears. It reminds me of being a little girl again and serving tea to all of my dolls. This set, however, is suitable for a grown up girl, to serve tea to her friends on a lovely afternoon.My set is too beautiful to be kept out of site. Luckily I have just the spot in my dining room so that tea can be served at a moment's notice.One more thing...I love the squared bottoms on the tea cups...I love the squarish shape of the tea pot and creamer and sugar bowl...and I love the spoons.I can only say again that it is a lovely set...lovely for guests...lovely for special occasions...lovely at any time. It came carefully wrapped so nothing was broken.My final thoughts...I love my new tea set. It truly is a beautiful addition to my home. It is such a nice neutral pattern that it can fit in with many different styles and tastes.
