As a children’s magician, I use quite a few different “brands” of magic gimmicks and supplies. I am working on many new card routines and teaching my son as well. Seeing this product advertise, it appeared to be a decent set, even for adults, but I wanted to get a nice set to help teach my son. I regret spending the funds on this set. The only thing you are paying for is the name Shin Lim. The quality of this product is dollar store quality at best. The “cloaking device” is atrocious, the quality is horrible. Honestly, I’ve spent less money for much better quality gimmicks, even less than I spent for this entire set.The card quality is terrible. Although the instruction video says they’re professional quality, they are NOT. Overall, I’d give this set ZERO stars if I could. Honestly, do NOT waste your money. Shin Lim should be ashamed to put his name on such poor quality. I’ve bought kids sets before to teach my son with, but never of such poor quality. I rarely give bad reviews, but I’m so disappointed in this Christmas Gift and the money spent that I didn’t have to waste. I can’t return it because it’s a gift and my son is autistic, you don’t just return gifts that easily.Please, DO NOT WASTE your money. If I could go back in time, I’d pass by this product. The box is the only thing of quality, the contents are atrocious. It’s fine for a kid, that’s true, but the cost is way too high. Honestly, shop around, you’ll find better quality and better pricing.

Great instructions. It is for kids. Or for practice. For friends and family. Good starter kit. Give it to a redhead stepchild.

You certainly get your money's worth with this kit.Unlike most kits that give you a bunch of toys and a cheap instruction guide, with this kit you get a link to a well made 2 hour instructional video that actually features Shin Lim, something I'll get more into in a moment.And tools, not cheap props.A lot of famous or well known magicians slap their name on a magic kit and have nothing further to do with it. The ones that have instructional videos may only have a cameo appearance at the beginning or end by the magician whos name is on it, and a member of their team is the one teaching.Not with this kit.You get a solid two hours of Shin Lim himself teaching you how to use the tools provided, as well as goving tips on improving your showmanship.I highly recommend this kit for magicians of all levels and people who collect magic kits.
