ELEMIS Frangipani Monoi Shower Cream Luxurious Shower cream , 50 ml, White

I use Elemis oxygenating pro cleansing balm which I love both for how it makes my skin look and feel but also for the incredible perfume. I thought I would try this shower cream thinking I would have a similar experience..... well the tube is tiny, more a sample/travel size and so makes an already expensive product very expensive. The perfume is quite delicate and I thought it was pleasent at first (not the powerful aroma I was expecting and love so I was disappointed) but then leaves you with an undertone I am not keen on at all, I can only liken it to an "old lady perfume" smell. I use a body polish buff, I squirted some on the buffer and started to shower - the cream failed to lather at all. I squirted on another amount, it lathered only a tiny amount but was very difficult to move it around and only cleaned the top half of my body before it needed replenishing again. So, very expensive for the size of tube, (has a funny smell) it does not lather, you cannot smooth it around the body and you need to use a lot per shower. Will not be buying again.

I bought this product as Elemis is a brand that I respect and enjoy - the scents vary from product to product, but all smell of Spa treats and so I often ask for bottles of the moisturisers, cleansers or toners for Christmas or Birthday presents. This product is not one that I have used before. I was drawn to it because most shower soaps leave a lovely, lingering scent without the need to further perfume. I have tired it twice, just to ensure that my nose is working properly. The smell of this product is very artificial. I am a huge fan of almonds and so Frangipan sounded ideal for me. The scent is of over-concentrated almond straight out of a lab. Not the type that you get from Almond essence, or something similar, but a harsh chemical smell that is very overpowering and not pleasant in the least. I will not be buying it again and the remainder has gone in the bin.

This shower gel is the first I’ve bouhht from Elemis and it’s rather divine. It is definitely a unique smell that stays on you for a while. Almost like a marzipan musk, hard to describe. As it is a strong scent, I wouldn’t recommend for very sensitive skin or for use on private areas as can cause an imbalance. But for the main body, it’s great.The bottle is very small and so I only use for travelling.

Glad I got this size because I wasn't as impressed with the scent or the moisturisation level as I thought I would be. Trial size is a great idea though because it means you didn't pay a fortune for some thing you didn't like the smell or result of etc. All expensive brands with products like these that can have trial sizes should at least sell one them

If your like me and need a nice smelling cream to soften your course hair into a smooth lock of balding mane, buy this. my hair is so course and dry i hate it immensely, but this made me want to use it every morning and night. Its pretty great, just a little pricey for the small amount that you get. I would suggest it, if you can afford at least four of them a month.
