Very sturdy
Put 2 of these up at my father in laws home. Very durable and easy to install. One of the packages was missing the hardware package however I have plenty so just used my own hardware.

Easy to mount, looks great
Attached this to the wall near our patio door for my parents to use. Like the black look. It looks nicer on the house than anything else. Sturdy mount so very satisfied. No rust so far and it's been a couple winters now.

Great hand rail solution!
I installed 5 of the 12" units around the outside and inside of our home since we're seniors and have balance issues. They are very sturdy and easy to install. The included hardware and anchors works perfectly on brick and can be installed without anchors directly into wood. I put tubular insulation on the outdoor grips for wintertime. This is an excellent product with lots of size options. They are so easy to install, I added a 45" version to stairway in minutes and I really enjoy having the extra assistance on the stairs.

Sturdy, but hardware is junk
I purchased two bars, and they arrived exceptionally well packed in perfect condition. The bars are hefty, and clearly strong enough to support any reasonable weight, and for this reason I give them five stars. However, the screws supplied are flat head, but the holes in the mounting plate are not counter-sunk, so the sharp edges of the screws will stand above the surface of the plates. In my case the old plaster-on-lath was too thick for the relatively short screws to find studs, so I had to replace the screws anyway. I did not downgrade the item for this reason, because you can expect that most grab bars will come with inadequate hardware. One problem in general with such bars is that the supplied screws are usually designed to be anchored into drywall - typically screwing into plastic plugs that are hammered into holes in the drywall. This is a terrible idea. Any hardware that is adequate to save the life of a falling person should be anchored on wall studs, with at least two screws of each mounting plate in a stud (more that two is impossible with these bars because the spacing between screws is wider than a stud). This should not be a problem if mounted vertically, assuming a convenient stud, but may not be possible if mounted horizontally, depending on the stud spacing. In that case, the proper solution is to screw a 3/4" wooden board (make the edges decorative if you wish) against the wall spanning at least 2 studs, and then screw the grab bar to the board.
