We LOVE these! Price is good value. I read about soaking planks in apple juice or wine, so I used some peach wine hanging around from a winery visit ages ago (and added some to the salmon marinade, too). Wow, that was good!

One had a knot in it, seemed to burn a little differently

We soaked these boards for over two hours prior to grilling, but they still charred and burned.

I used these for the first time this week. I soaked them for about an hour, much longer than is recommended. I put my fish on the planks. Tilapia. They covered the whole plank, so these planks are quite small. They caught fire! I transferred my fish directly onto the grill grate and threw the planks in the snow bank. Don’t buy these.

Disliked the odd flavor the board left on the grilled cod. Minimum salt and pepper added to fish prior to cooking, so spices used did not account for the flavor.
