YumboxCilantro Green Original

This is a really nice and well made bento style lunch or snack box. I use it for my son to take to school. It is easy for him to open and is very well made and it looks really nice too, great bright colours and pictures on the insert. I definitely recommend this product, it is the second I have had and even the first is still going strong. It is basically leak proof and it is sturdy and I think paying a bit extra for something that is good quality and will last is much better than other similar products which are cheaper but don’t last as long.

I LOVE the compartments on this lunch box!! My 1-year-old doesn't like his food to touch, but I like to send a variety of foods for his daycare lunch. This has stopped me from having to send a ton of small containers.However, this really isn't leakproof. I drain mandarin oranges for my son and add them to this. The little amount of liquid in the lunch box always finds its way out and leaks all over the inside of his bookbag. It's very frustrating. I don't have this issue with my Bentgo Kids box. My other gripe is that the case isn't dishwasher safe, so I have to hand wash, which is definitely inconvenient.

I bought this lunchbox 8 months ago for our kindergartener. His school does not serve lunch or snack, so we have to pack his lunch and snack every day. The Yumbox has held up better than the lunchbox from one of their main competitors that we bought around the same time. By following the manufacturer's directions for the box (if you add watery fruit, add a paper towel in the bottom of the well to absorb the juice; don't fill the container up to the top where it may interfere with the seal on the lid) we have found it to be leakproof. We always put the box into an insulated lunch bag with a couple of slim ice packs.We hand wash the box to avoid any issues with warping in the dishwasher. We have had no problems with mold or mildew in the lid, possibly because we allow it to thoroughly dry prior to using it again - we rotate between this box and the competitor's lunch box so that each one has time to dry out completely between uses.The design of the lunchbox helps us to pack a varied and healthy lunch every day - we send fruit, veg, crunchy snack, a main dish (for example, a sandwich cut into small pieces with cookie cutters, pizza cut into small pieces, cheese & lunchmeat to go with crackers), and a sweet treat in the small circle shaped compartment. Sometimes we send yogurt in one of the compartments. When I cut up the fruit and vegetables into bite sized pieces and pack the food tightly and I can fit way more food in here than my son can eat, so the space has been adequate for us. I can easily see this working for us through the first few years of elementary school.We have been happy enough with this Yumbox that we bought two of the Yumbox MiniSnack boxes to send our son's snack to school every day (we have been very happy with these, as well.) If your kid likes lots of options at lunch, the Yumbox Original is a great product.

Every time I use the center container for dressing it leaks, everywhere. So beware of that.There's no general large area for an entree like a sandwich, so you'll be cutting it up quite a bit. All in all I wouldn't buy this again nor would I recommend it.

Doesn’t leak. My boys eat all their lunch now. Less food to throw away and makes it fun for them to pick what they want the sections. Great for my picky eaters who don’t like things touching.
