It’s very well made and great design
Not had a chance to use it yet but more than happy with what I see, very well thought out if there one thing that would have made it better is if it came with its own toolbox to put it in for storage.

Works well, expensive for one or 2 projects
Takes a bit of practice, my wife wanted to make a planter for the garden. So we thought pocket hole screed and glue would create very strong joints. We bought this jig With all the extras. The manual is a little vague but we watched a YouTube video before doing some practice joints. It takes a little time to get used to it, but the results were excellent and the planter looks great. It was quite expensive for a jig for hobby work but if we make a few more planters, we should be able to get some value from it.

Expensive toy
I was excited to receive this latest pocket hole jig, but was disappointed when I released it doesn’t even take 2” thick wood. Start in todays woodworking. It is accurate, but as I said limited in application, especially when considering the cost

A downgrade from previous generations
Despite the mixed and negative reviews on YouTube and elsewhere I bought this model because in the UK, prices for the now discontinued K4 and K5 are way too high.Unfortunately I agree with the status quo reviews. The pros are two-fold: better dust extraction and a moderately easier experience because of the auto-clamp feature. However the jig is poorly designed, particularly if you buy them with the side cases. The side cases are flimsy as heck. It’s kind of shocking how poorly made and designed they seem to be. You will likely either ditch the side cases or you’ll mount the whole thing on a board.Unfortunately I can’t really recommend these overpriced jigs by Kreg and I can only assume that these are cost-cutting procedures. There are a number of off-brand alternatives out there, now, which duplicate the design of the K4. I suggest going to those.
