Beads are not wood as shown in photos
The top and inside of the tray is beautiful but the side beads are a plastic brown strip of clumped together beads that are not whitewashed and are not individual wooden beads as listed in the description and product photos. Very disappointed and will be returning it.

Not really white washed, but beautiful non the less!
When I first received this wood tray I noticed a couple of flecks of paint fall off of it when I pulled it out of the box. I had a pretty good feeling that it wouldn't be truly whitewashed based on the seller's photos. The first photo on the seller's page of the natural wood tray is more realistic to what you will receive than the second image, which shows a wood tray that is clearly whitewashed. Mine is more of an in-between. It looks like there may have been an attempt to whitewash it because you can see a little bit of whitewash in the nooks (is that the right word?) of the tray, but for the most part, it is just a natural wood tray. I may try whitewashing it myself in the future, but for now, I'm going to leave it as it is. I gave it 5 stars, but I felt like the name "Creative Co-Op Whitewashed Round Decorative Wood Tray" was a bit misleading (because my tray really isn't whitewashed, it's natural). Also, I thought the two different photos listed may also be misleading. Although they show the same (but different) round wood tray one that looks natural and one that looks whitewashed. Wish it was cheaper for the quality
I found this on Wayfair but didn't want to pay $70 on a coffee table tray so found it on here for $54.. I definitely will be white washing this further because the beads are a bright brown (the inside of tray is more white washed). The bottom of the tray also needs to be glued cause it is falling apart slightly. Basically, if you don't love the tray and can be happy without something else it isn't worth it. But, if you are okay with having to maybe fix it up, it is a beautiful tray.
