I wanted to like it, but I have a few issues - first, the clamp doesn't open very wide, which makes it hard to attach to some surfaces. You can't clamp it on a magazine/book as it shows in the picture because the weight of the lamp and the fact that the clamp doesn't lay flush against the surface. Nevertheless, I got it situated and my plants seemed to be doing well. The bigger issue that I have with it is that the on/off switch or electrical connection is faulty. I had no issues for the first few weeks, but now, when I try to switch the light on, it doesn't go on. If I fiddle with it, wait some time, plug/unplug it, I can sometimes get it to go on. Not sure how long it'll last before it ceases to go on at all.

So far so good....my plant is coming back to life. I had to knock off a few stars for one big reason. When you use the switch to turn the light off it works....however when trying to turn it back on it does not....you have to unplug it, wait a few minutes and then plug it back in. This is an honest and genuine review for which I DID NOT receive any free products or discounts.

Broke after only 2 uses (timing app. Unfortunately, this occurred after the 30 day return period, so I'm out of pocket. Don't buy.

I enjoy starting my seeds on the table, in the house, since I don't have a green house, since I've always had poor luck with direct planting. Buying the plants is much more expensive, so this lamp saves me money.This light allows me to start my seeds anywhere. It's so handy! It gives great light, and the small plants respond very well to it. I have to turn the plants every day, because they lean heavily toward the light.It has a goose neck that makes it easy to point the light exactly where I want it to light, and the clip clips on to the side of the table, and doesn't use any space on the table, plus keeps it from tipping over.The on/off switch is on the cord, which is great because I can position it within reach, even when I have the light on the back side of the table.I received this product at a discount for an honest, unbiased review. Great little grow lamp for a small space! This is the first grow light I have purchased that I really think I will consistently use! It is small and convenient and does not give off heat. We have a couple succulents in a neat little container garden, but I just do not have a great place for them that gets the light they need and is a safe spot where our cats can not knock them down so they tend to not be very healthy. I had purchased a grow lamp from a local store but was very disappointed with how HOT it got! Not only did it throw a lot of heat into the dining room (not awesome for the air conditioning bill) but if my cats knocked THAT down?? We'd have had a fire. I couldn't use it. Total waste of money.Totally different story with this one! The compact size makes it perfect for almost any location and being LED this is not getting hot ~ doesn't change the room temperature and my cats won't be burning my house down! The clamp also made me happy ~ it actually opens large enough for a pretty thick table and it is strong! Again if someone (or a naughty cat) bumps into it, it isn't going anywhere. It is really bright but the red/blue light makes it more subdued. Hoping this helps bring my little succulent garden back to being as pretty as when it was first put together!Can't speak for anyone else, but I try to take my reviews seriously ~ I know how much I count on them when I am buying, especially online!
