Royal Doulton Exclusively for Gordon Ramsay Maze White Mug

I bought this to match a set I already had. The cup arrived in perfect condition and is a very pretty light yellow color.

We are happy with these mugs in our Manhattan office. They hold more than an ordinary mug without looking bulky. They have a nice wide stance so they're not prone to being tipped over. The ribbing adds a bit of flair without being excessive. When we microwave them the contents get hot but not the mug itself. We can stack them two-high in our kitchen cupboard. These are all good!

This mug is of a nice tapered shape with the ridge texture which makes it more interesting than a standard coffee shop mug. It is also not clunky, thick or heavy like many larger mugs; in fact, it feels a lot like a Lenox mug that I have - substantial in quality feel, but the thickness of the sides is about 4mm. Also, it IS 16 oz capacity. I have no idea what other reviewers used to measure, but to measure using pyrex measuring cups, it is EXACTLY 16 oz (including surface tension of water) at the brim, which means a comfortable 14 oz of beverage). It is not white, however, it is more of a "winter" white or very pale beige. Also, I was disappointed to find that although this is Royal Doulton (an English company and part of the WWRD - Waterford, Wedgewood, Royal Doulton companies), these mugs were made in China. If the color were accurate (I was looking for pure white, these are pretty, but not what I expected) and they were made in England, I'd give 5 stars.

I love this series. I have dinner plates, salad plates, bowls. I add a cup for the replacement. So glad I found this in Amazon. Now I have 6 sets of cups again.

One of our mugs broke in our 16 piece set and for a YEAR we sat feeling sad about it not being complete.. found this mug and our collection is now whole again :)

While the item described may weigh 16 ounces, it certainly doesn't hold 16 ounces of liquid. I measured, in fact, and it only holds 10 ounces, comfortably; 12 ounces if you don't mind filling it too full to pick up without spilling. I'll keep the cup, as I like the styling and will pull it out for a guest, but if you're a caffeine addict like me looking for a mug to hold your double serving of morning coffee, keep looking. I am.

These are very nice, not too small, and definitely robust. It feels good to get a quality product and not too shabby when you've got company. I like these mugs.

These are really lovely mugs. I thought the price was very reasonable, and whilst not made in the UK the quality and finish are excellent. I think they are a prefect size, not so large that you feel that you are holding a bowl of coffee rather than a cup - nor are they too small that you are just starting to enjoy your tea/coffee and it's all gone. They are not overly heavy and have a nice 'hold' to them (the handle is big enough for a few fingers to slip through so you can hold it and keep your hands warm). Slightly lighter grey than hoped but the picture is true to colour. Very quick delivery, and arrived VERY well packed, 4 to a box (individually wrapped and separated), those boxes were then bubbled wrapped and placed in a larger box. Very pleased with them.

The replacement mug arrived today and is not damaged. I am pleased.

Great quality and such a stylish mug - also have them in white for the past 6 years and no chips or cracks even after all this time - definitely recommend any pieces of this crockery
