The media could not be loaded. I am a duly "licensed" audiophile. Sound and the quality of sound matter to me. Devices that are really good at doing ONE thing are priceless to me and I think verbal communication is still the best form of communication. With all that said, this ugly phone is awesome! The phone provides a perfect level of "sidetone" so you can hear yourself speak in real time and when you're speaking with someone who is using a 'poor reception' cell phone, you can hear every part of their bad signal which give you a better chance at comprehending what is being said. Go figure! I also forgot how convenient it was to tuck a phone between your face and shoulder so you're hands are free. Many electronic devices these days have so many features, you wind up in constant hand-to-hand combat just trying to manage the useless features. The only drawbacks on this phone are that it is not pretty, you cannot mute the ringer (you can only slightly reduce the volume of the ringer with a two position switch -- see video ^^^) and the ringer sound is pretty obnoxious, but you'll never miss a call! If you want a phone that works and allows you to enjoy old school verbal telecommunications, this is it. A final note: I use Google Voice to direct all calls to this device when I'm in my office.

Got phone for hard of hearing parent. She loves it. Had to add amplifier but have to do that on all her phones. Red light does not light. Using Verizon voice connect so that might be the problem. Recommend this phone.

barely OK... light does not light up ever... and no where near as loud as my iPhone when ringing.... so how is this a "loud" phone ???

It works as well as the old school corded telephones it does what I want it to do. I hear a buzzing in my phone line I have spectrum digital phone and I think it’s from my long range dect phone making the buzzing and it only happens when I receive a call not when I make a call

I chose this phone from reading other reviews. But the one I received has a very low ringer and a red light that doesn't light up.
