Does the job
It does one job and it does it well. If they come out with a comb/straightener for small conductor wire, I'll be sending my money your way.

Worth the Investment
Bought this item to do a large commercial cable run to make it look professional and it didn’t disappoint. Ease of use definitely a great value for your money. Worth the extra time and expense to make the cable look nice and neat.

Cable Manager!
Very good product-seems durable-and has saved me time and money. This product makes pulling cable as a 1 man job do-able (if you have pulled more than 6" of cat5/6 you know what a mess it can become). Way less tangles, helps to keep cables from twisting and knotting. Wish I would have got it sooner!

Great product, but read before you buy
Edited 2-1-2014I've never come back to edit a review here, but Steve at Acomm tools has been trying to reach/email/call me/stalk me for months to find out why I returned it. That a small company cares that much about their customers' satisfaction months *after* I returned the product is impressive. I've added 2 stars and changed some opinions after finally speaking with him.I really wanted this to work for me. I mean, i spent $40 of my own money for this piece of plastic.>> edit: okay, it didn't work for me, but now I can understand the cost. There's some serious cash involved in having custom molds made for your product. This is a niche market, so they just aren't selling enough units to bring cost down. Maybe that will change, maybe it won't, but I can't fault a guy for recovering his costs and trying to make a buck.First, its smaller than you think it is. I mean, about 20% smaller than it should be (about 4.5" diamter).>> edit: obviously it's meant for CAT5. That's still where most of the market is, I totally get it. And it works f*ing fantastic for CAT5. And it fits in your tool bag.Second, the holes are berely big enough for Cat6 STTP. But total fail trying to use with RG6 Quad Shield cable. All things considered, this device could be larger, with larger diameter holes. That would make everything better.>> edit: I had a long conversation with Steve about this. He agrees that they should make a larger comb for larger cables, but there might not be a market out there to bear the costs of new molds. I mean, who is psychotic enough to pull shielded CAT6 in their house (other than me?). I would really love to have a slightly larger version of this for larger cables. We'll see.If you only ever have to comb Cat5, this will be great for you.>> edit: to be fair, it didn't work with the CAT6 STTP and RG6 Quad that I was using. Other manufacturers may have smaller wire diameters that will work with this.Revised final conclusion:1. Acomm Tools is a small company that grew out of their own cable pulling business. They saw a need in the market and spent their own hard earned cash making something that would make our lives easier.2. It ain't cheap to have this stuff manufactured. It costs what is costs. If you pull cable and terminate networks for a living, you must have at least one of these in your tool bag. It WILL pay for itself on the first job.3. I returned this because I'm an amature techie and it didn't work for me on the one installation that I had to do: my house. If I did this for a living, I would have said to myself "Hm. Not so much with the shielded CAT6" and kept it for other installations.4. It is a really we'll built piece of plastic. If you install cables for a living, you'll appreciate the build quality. Think of how much you'd spend on the right punch tool, network tester or drill motor. Yeah, think of this as a tool, not just a piece of plastic.5. It's smaller than you think, so it will fit in your tool bag of course!6. Support the small company that cares about its product and its customers. Sure I suppose I could download a file and 3D print one of these, but it won't be strong enough to actually comb out (48) CAT5 cables.

Little plastic extrusion of magic makes you a PRO
This simple little blue and yellow plastic cable comb saves 90% or more of traditional cable dressing time... and cable bundles look WAY better when done. Should be a STANDARD must have item in EVERY electrician, low voltage technician, network, and AV tech bag. Pays for itself in the first hour or two of labor, makes your work look like a pro ever time. Sets you WAY apart from the other guys. Killer product, one of the best new ideas in the industry in the last 30 years.
