The SSR: A definite upgrade from the Flo-Torq II.There is a meaningful reduction in shift-clunk and in low speed vibration. I was skeptical before I bought the Flo-Torq SSR, but I am not now. Installed on a Merc Pro Max 150 with 14.5” x 19” Quicksilver 3-Blade.

Quiet and easy fix
Bought this to decrease prop noise in low speed forward and reverse and to reduce shift clunk. Mission accomplished. This him kit is much better than the flo torq 2 that came with my prop.

Much better!
This part is a definite improvment from the old Flo-Torque II. More splines to spread the load out on the hub. Some play is expected in this install.

I was having prop rattle vibration at in gear idle speeds
In my application, on a Tempest prop the hub was very hard to get in. I had to drive it just past flush because the prop was hitting the trim tab. The nut side of the hub does not reach the end and there is space there. I did test it just with ear muffs, and it seems ok. This is for a new 115 CT Merc. I was having prop rattle vibration at in gear idle speeds. The insert itself did not look new.

I replaced the FloMaster ll on my 150 Pro SXWent from load startup clanking and slippage at 1800 n 2500 rpm.Better hole shots and quicker to plain at lower speed.I have a 24P 48-825872 Prop.one key thing to know, when you take off the prop, place the end of the prop that went on the shaft down on the floor.This will leave the drive sleeve adapter face up.Pull it out of the drive sleeve and rotate it until it stands on top of the drive sleeve.Know using a dead hammer or small sledgehammer give it a pop and the drive sleeve should drop out...

Buyer Beware!!!! Might not be an SSR Hub!!!!
Buyer Beware!!! I have now ordered 2 “used like new” Flo-torq SSR hubs only to find that the packages, despite being labeled as SSR, contained the older Flo-Torq II hub kit. So I ordered new to save the hassle (see obvious difference in the photo) as it wasn’t worth the $25 savings to deal with the headaches…

Quick easy hub kit - must have!!
Ordered this for a new prop.... so I didn't have to try to remove hub kit from other prop!

Hub looks used. Will attach photo. Describe as new. 2 stars as it did fit and was shipped quickly. Will update function due to needing it this weekend.
