This is the second time I’ve bought this tent. First time I had it for 4+ years and it was amazing. Had to replace it because it got lost when I moved across the state. I am have diagnosed Autism, ADHD, and PTSD, so this tent means the world to me. When my anxiety was bad I always hid away in my little nest. I got the pitch black one with the mesh windows. It blocks out light very well, and it makes me feel safe when nothing else does. The first one I had was still in great condition after 4 years of use. It’s very easy to set up, don’t need any tools. A good open space and extra set of hands is all you need really. I bought the twin sized one and it fits like a glove. You put the mattress inside the tent. A few notes on assembly process. 1) it comes in a medium sized pouch, support poles included. 2) it does open very forcefully when you unzip the pouch, although it does have a warning label saying that, but still be careful when your opening it for the first time because getting smacked in the nose by this thing would hurt 3) it has three small zippers about an inch long in the top of the tent. This is for the support poles. Just insert and thread them all the way through. Only note here is that it’s a bit hard to get the pole all the way in to close the zipper but if you’ve got an extra set of hands it’s not too bad. Took me maybe 2-3 minutes to get all three poles completely threaded. 4) it’s a mild pain to get the mattress itself into the tent, but that’s because I was doing it myself. Once you get it lined up and adjusted just slide it in. It’s a little hard to hold the tent down and push the mattress in but with an extra set of hands it’s easier. Completely possible to do solo assembly, just much easier with help. However, the important note is the base. I highly recommend that if you don’t have a solid bed frame and you have one that’s kinda wired or has gaps, I suggest getting a box spring. The tent will not stand up correctly if it doesn’t have a solid foundation. So some features I’d like to high light. - it has two windows on the top and bottom with a mesh lining if you want to let air or light in. - it has two panels to get in and out both on opposite sides of the other. - one of my favorite qualities is the zipper. It’s very good, my first tent was going strong after 4 years of use and the zippers almost never snagged or jammed, and even when they snagged a little I would just zip it back up slightly then go down again and it’d fix up easy. PLUS, the zippers are double sides. Both windows and panels have double sided zippers so if you want to open a panel or a window you don’t have to exit the tent, you can open and close any zipper from the inside!!! While it is expensive I’d say ease of construction and quality are 10000% worth it!!! I love it with all my heart and I’ll always have this tent!!!

I bought this tent to bring on an overseas holiday so that my toddler can sleep early while the adults stayed awake. The quality of the tent is great and it folds down into a relatively packable size which fits in a large suitcase. The set up takes some getting used to but after doing it twice it was rather simple. It fits a single sized bed easily. A super single bed is a bit of a squeeze but possible in a pinch, although it would really stretches the zips. One downside is that the black tent, while blocking quite a lot of light, is not 100% blackout. If there is light outside it’s still somewhat visible from inside, which may matter to you if you have very sensitive toddlers. But it should help if its already a relatively dark room.

I got this just a day ago, so I am reviewing from that perspective and can't comment on how durable it is in the long term. We got it for my daughter who really likes sleeping low to the ground and with a covering over top of her. She actually had built a fort that she had been sleeping in for the last 2 months but it kept falling apart so our search for a more permanent version led us to this tent bed. It is super easy to set up. It comes in a round bag and springs right out, as the tent poles that go around it are already installed. All you have to do is put together the three poles that go across it, one on top and two on the sides. Then slide your mattress (without box spring) inside. Done in less than 10 minutes. I was really curious what it would be like, as I had never seen or heard of anything like this. It is very much like a tent that you can fit a mattress into. That's the best way to describe it. It is cloth material with tent pegs, that's the entire makeup, no legs, no solid frame for the mattress, not that they are necessary as the mattress does fit neatly inside. But the whole thing probably weighs less than 5 lbs. Inside it it very spacious due to good design, as the sides bulge out slightly to give more room inside. Both ends can open or close completely, but also have mesh windows, which are nice for ventilation. Two spots on the sides also have windows that open, but no mesh option on these openings. So there are lots of options for opened/closed windows. All these can be closed from the inside or outside, with zipper pull tabs on both sides. I can't comment yet on durability but this is the only area I have reservations about. The tent material is not very thick and seems like it would not take much to tear. I feel that if you are an adult and used it responsibly you would have very few issues, but I don't think that I would recommend it for young kids as a play tent. I don't think it is marketed for that age group, but in case you are thinking about it for young kids, I feel it would get ripped from careless use. We have warned our 9 year old daughter to be careful with it. So we bought it for her, here's what she thinks: She absolutely loves it so far and last night got the best sleep she has had in a long time.
