Maximum Ride: The Manga, Vol. 1 (Volume 1) (Maximum Ride: The Manga, 1)

This is not a bad manga but the story starts off with too much conflict and drama that keeps it from being one of the best mangas, with almost all the important characters and plots being revealed in the first chapters it ruins it and bring the intial excitment to a halt while they try to solve all the problem they have as people with wings on their backs. The summary would be that a group of people who live together all have one thing in common, they have wings. Because they left "school" they are always being hunted, and throughout the first chapters they are trying to survive and meet up with each other in order to survive, the only good thing about the first voulume is the high spirit that the character eminate.

I absolutely love the maxium ride series and was head over heels when I found this for such a low price. It was delivered in perfect shape. I would happily buy from this seller again.

Grandson has re-read this book. He’s not a big reader, but really likes this series.

My daughter enjoys reading a lot of James Patterson books. She's also a big fan of manga so this is a perfect read for her. We have already purchased vol 2 as well.

If you haven't read James Patterson's stuff before, it doesn't matter. You don't have to have read his Maximum Ride to enjoy this manga series. From beginning to finish the story is fantastic. You'll notice character growth and how Max gets by by being the awesome leader that she is. Angel already see's her as the mother she never hard so that's saying a lot. I really enjoyed this first volume, already order volumes 3-6 and am saving up some cash to get my hands on volume seven.

I was unaware the whole book was in black and white. I definitely think a colorful version would make this purchase 5 stars.

I wanted to begin reading manga, and I remember looking at this one a few years back, so I decided to buy it to get into reading manga. I'm really happy I decided this one to begin with, the story line's easy to follow/understand and the illustrations are beautiful, would recommend to others if they want to begin/ want something else to read.Also, don't mix this with the actual book, this is a manga interpretation of the book!

Bought with volume 2 as a Christmas present for teenager who is into reading wide range of things. I'm told the story is very interesting and he is now looking to buy all the remaining comics in the series!

The book is awesome! I would suggest it to anyone interested in anime, manga, graphic novels, comics and anyone who is into the fantasy genre. A great read at great value and i will definately be buying the rest of the series!

Excellent way to get kids into reading and enthusiastic for the next volume. I have purchaed a few more in the series since.
