My iPad for Seniors: Covers Ios 7 for Ipad Air, 3rd / 4th Generation, Ipad 2, and Ipad Mini

Bought this for my 79 year old mother. This is her first iPad. She loves the book and said to give it 5 stars. It explains everything to where she could understand it and do what she wanted to do. She said it made the tasks she wanted to do very easy. She also said this author did a fantastic job of explaining the Ipad and instructions were accurate and easy. She also said she read the instructions and then had her ipad right there with the book and followed the book while performing the task on the IPad. Everything she tried was easy if you followed the book. She would definitely recommend this book for people who are trying to learn how to operate their iPad. This was a great investment and she said it is much better than those books for "Dummies". I am so glad I bought this book for her. She is having a ball with her iPad!

I have 5 different books on the IPad. they are even the same size so they can stack and collect dust neatly. Good books, for someone I'm sure. They all assume some prior knowledge to the point that none of the books even tells you how to turn an IPad Mini on, and what I need is bonehead IPad 100. IPad For Seniors assumes there is someone out there who doesn't know and as I thumb my way to the end of the book I realize the kid next door and I might be able to talk someday, as long as he doesn't use his IPhone. "For pity sake, I'm standing right here!!!!"

I did not find anything that turned me off or disappointed me. I'm a senior citizen and this is my first iPad. So far I've enjoyed it very much and learned many things about the iPad Air that I would not have figured out on my own. Yes I would recommend this book, especially if your trying to figure out your iPadand it happens to be your first one.PS. I just realized why us men never ask for directions!

When I saw this on Amazon I snapped it up instantly. When my Mom came to visit me from England I talked her into getting a mini I-pad and she did. That was all well and good until every 5 mins she was asking how to do this and that which I didn't mind but 1 year later she is still asking me how do I do this? How does this work? Why is my picture not there? It was torture! So whilst she was here I bought her this and it's her bible and I'm not asked anything now.. heaven!

The writing is clear and concise. There are screen shots for almost every step to be taken which make it easy to follow--almost foolproof--to follow.The format is so consistent that (i) the book becomes what was intended, a reference (ii) I began to develop a basic understanding of the underlying logic of the iOS and could answer my own questions without looking up the answer.

In my not so humble opinion (I teach computers) the Rosenzweig book is a gem. You don't have to have a familiarity with computers to understand the book. He carefully explains the basics as well as suggestions for enhancing the use of the iPad with additional apps. Well worth buying it even if you have had an iPad for a while as you will learn all the settings that useful to enhance the iPad for Senios such as turning on Bold Type that makes even the names under the icons easier to read for our "silver citizen" eyes.

Love this book. Couldn't do without it as none of my adult children are around me any longer and the one that is has hardly any time for herself. It gives you detailed instructions and you can work along with your i pad air. It is just great and I can only recommend it as at first I was afraid if I would ever manage my i pad on my own. Go ahead and purchase it. You will thank me as it will be a very valuable helper to you.

Well, it has about the same info as iPad for younger idiots, so it is quite informative in a broad brush stile. Neither seem to get into the detail of doing everyday things, like deleting photos....or did I miss this?Anyway, I bought it..and I use it to teach the geriatric community up here in th Ranges.

Tells me hopefully all I will need to know if I decide to get a reconditioned i Pad

Very good product. Bought to help my mum with iPad and she finds it helpful. If you are thinking of buying it for someone with a new iPad then I would recommend you buy it

Borrowed from our local library but so impressed I bought my own copy for reference. Usual excellent Amazon service with 3 items in one package. Why do these gadgets require such a steep learning curve!?

Not sure that this is worth the money. It seems to be no different from the free download from Apple, except that it has nice pictures in it!
