Simple traditional oven design. Easy to use, clean and air fry.

Ok, been using this mini ‘air-fryer’ oven for a few months now and this is my overall impression: absolute pain to clean! Plus it’s not really a true air-fryer - sure, it has an air-fryer function, but doesn’t really do the job very well. The main issue though is the 4 heating elements inside are surrounded by steel protection bars (for obvious reasons of course - they’re heating elements!) but this is unlike proper air-fryers where the heating element is concealed (the heated air being directed into the fry tray doing the job of the cooking). The plus side is that this mini oven does a cracking job at grilling - but then the clean-up is a nightmare. Invariably there’s a bit of grease here and there (especially when cooking steak, etc.) and this gets everywhere. Try and clean it to any decent standard and it’s impossible because of the non-removable parts. The tray is aluminium (so can’t go in the dishwasher!). The glass front is nice and all that (“oh look I can see my steak!”) but the hinge area also gets covered in stuff which is also really hard to get to in order to clean! All-in-all, it looks trashed after 3 months of use (a few times a week) and as fastidiously cleaned as possible. Personally I would get a separate true air-fryer and, if really needed, separate grill / mini oven. This is kind of thing is like a print-copy-fax or washer / dryer…. Doesn’t really do any of the things it says it can do very well, but as an all-rounder if space is a premium, then it’s just ok (hence the 3 stars).

one of the quartz heating elements in your Russell Hobbs air fryer oven has developed internal black discoloration, accompanied by a burning glass smell. This indicates a potential internal failure of the heating element, which could pose safety risks.

Can cook a whole chicken in this oven, cooks really well but stains easily from splatters. Still enjoy cooking with it but wished it would remain new looking

Worked well with roast beef, fish, muffins and bread. It cooked nicely. With whole chicken, it was struggling to reach the intended temperature. Chicken was cooked inside but soft and gooey outside, failed to make the skin crisp. The temp was set to max, i am using an oven thermometer and it can only heat up to 150°C. Disappointing. I want ti return it actually
