Excellent fermenter
This is a good fermenter. I've made two batches of sake with this. I wish more replacement parts were available, otherwise I recommend this fermenter.

Get started with pressure fermenting, on a budget.
As fermenters go, this is definitely one to have in the inventory. Its more durable than a glass carboy, provides ample room to clean it properly, and will give you the option to try pressure fermenting on a budget. Although its a fraction of the price of a Stainless Steel fermenter, it is still about double that of your standard bucket...The one 'beware of' though is that, if pressure fermenting is what you're buying this for, you definitely need a few extra bits which will drive the price up another 20-40 dollars. (Specifically, 2x gas posts, dip tube solution, and spunding setup.)Optional accessories include the straps, which not only help carry it, but provide some stability to the unit on the base, and an extra lid setup (cap and threaded assembly) if you want to have some control over temps without drilling your only lid. Will be picking up a second one of these for sure.

Great for brewing lagers
Works really well. It is important to only tighten the lid with your hands and I use a little food-safe grease to keep the O ring in good condition. I've used it in conjunction with a spunding valve to brew various lager styles at room temperatures and to increase the hoppiness of my IPAs.

Wouldn't buy again- if there was a zero star I would've picked that
I have done research for many months prior to purchase and most reviews were positive so I decided to give it a chance. I have fermented 4 brews over a 6 month period to truly test everything with this and have had various problems with each of them.1) All of them ended up oxidized even though they did not leak cleaner or sanitizer in between batches.2) There was a lid leak when I tried using CO2 to transfer to keg, and because it was pressurized I couldn't get the lid off. I pulled the pressure release valve and still could not get the lid off. I have tried using rubber bands on the lid to get a good grip and will now be throwing the whole thing away.4) I have viewed YouTube brewtorials to try and troubleshoot and am still having problems. Would not recommend and would not purchase again.

Stuck lid
It is now in the trash. I spent 2-3 hours trying to get the plastic ring lid off with a wrench boiled water. Everything. Dumb.
