Didn't want dyes in the silica so got this one. Works well. Recharges well.

I use this stuff in a cigar humidor setup in a beverage cooler.Works fantastic. Holds relative humidity levels steady right around 64% with the proper moisture content setpoint.

I bought 2 of these large jugs and put them in my 3D printing dry box. 4 months later, it is still sitting at 13% humidity. Don’t know if it because I used way too much desiccant, built the box well, or both. Whatever it is, I am happy with the results right now.

Supposedly silica gel beads with no indicator dye can absorb more water vapor than the indicating beads. I mix these with a smaller amount of the indicating beads. I suggest getting the orange indicating beads rather than the blue beads because the blue is from cobalt, which has some toxicity if ingested.Container is fine but as all too often, Amazon or its vendor just tosses the item into an empty box with no padding. Routing shocks during shipping popped the container's lid partially open, spilling some of the beads.

I bought this 5lb container to keep the car dry. Sometimes in heavy rain water will get under the door seal and collect under the mats which after time will start getting musty. I know to mop up the puddle but the remaining moisture takes days to dry. This works amazingly well to dry the car out. I really like that I can throw it in the oven to rejuvenate it! I just made a big flat fabric zipper bag for the Silica Gel and I leave it on the back seat of the car. Works great!
