Was seeking a way to hang garlands from my mantle without damaging the wood and stumbled upon The Original Mantle Clip in a local store. Hoping to find a better price, I came to Amazon and was happy to find a number of different colors and patterns. Though they were a bit more expensive, I chose the white ones since they are less conspicuous on my mantle, and I plan to use them year-round with different garlands. I was initially skeptical but found that they were relatively easy to handle and they hold my garland well. I used 8 clips to hold the one shown in my pictures. I am very happy with my purchase.

We don't have a mantle, so I liked that these were adjustable based on how much you squeeze them. They fit snug on a wooden shelf we made with 1x6 material and looked great. They have rubber grips to hold on which yellowed the season, but they can't be seen when in use so that doesn't bother me.

I was hesitant to believe that these could hold a heavy full stocking. But it really does. I slid it over my mantle and it was firm fitting. Our stockings were packed and they didn’t fall once!

Great for Christmas stockings on a few very different mantles we have in an antique house. The pads insure non-marking and great hold even with 10lbs!

I bought these 10 years ago and still use them. I like that they’re low profile and don’t take away from my mantle decorations. I docked one star because they don’t always stay on well, especially with a full stocking.

The media could not be loaded.  These hooks work great for my Mantle. I don’t have a super long mantle and trying to find hooks was quite a chore. The lip of my mantle is about 1 1/2” to 2” thick. These hooks can expand to a wider size if need too. As we all know mantles come in all sizes and under the lip it has a few designs that indent in. My hook isn’t completely flush on the lip of the Mantle but it works fine. It doesn’t really have to be flush for the hooks to work. That is a preference for yourself. But as for me it works. Especially when the family is expanding with grand kids. It is well made and I like the design. But if you want them to be flush on the lip of the mantle you need to make sure that there is space underneath the lip that goes farther back for the hooks to be flush. Some mantles have the ripple design like mine does so it will not be flush. I hope I explained it so you would understand what I’m trying to say. I would recommend this product.

We always have an issue hanging stockings on our mantle. We tried weighted hooks but they were difficult to store and were never heavy enough. These worked perfectly. They did not scratch the mantle and held full stockings with ease. Highly recommended.

Tried others, these are the absolute best. Worth the price. I load up stockings & these hold quite a bit of weight!

I was concerned that they would scratch my mantle or not fit but they are perfect. They had a clear adhesive underneath the hooks to protect the mantle and they expand to fit my mantle perfectly..they also arrived early..

Really good product. Fit my mantle like a dream and has a bit of rubber inside so they don’t slip. The perfect solution as they are elegant and understated. Also seem like they will last i.e quite sturdy
