Chili power supplier
I ordered this product as my previous non-MSG chili power supply was nearing exhaustion. My previous supply was the same brand and also in the 20 ounce package. For some reason these large containers are no longer available in my local grocery stores so I turned to the internet for help.I had not previously purchased from this supplier however the shipment came promptly and was well packaged. I am very satisfied with the supplier and would not hesitate to purchase from them again.

great I like the large size as I use chili powder in a iot of receipes.I like to have all my spices on hand so when I need something I don't have to stop what I'm doing and run to town which is a 30 mile round trip.

Why do they call it "chili" powder when it's hot?
I purchased this at Costco until they stopped carrying it. It's probably not the best gourmet chili powder on the market, but does very nicely for my needs. And, the price at Amazon it great.

Good, consistent, fresh flavor
I use many different types of chili powders in my cooking, both "pure" (red pepper types) and "blended" types which incorporate cumin as an additive. I use McCormick chili powders most frequently for my various "regular chili" recipes (I have about 10 such recipes) and it's a fine product. I also use it in my Cincinnati Chili and in my own fajita and barbequed pork rib marinade blends (two different marinades). As to McCormick spices in general, they are consistently excellent and always fresh, a consideration which is of imperative importance in cooking. Old spices, especiallly chili powders, should be tossed and replaced! If you're going for the very best common spices, regardless of the price and the trouble to obtain them, Penzey's Spices are usually the best of all -- but, again, McCormick's spices are still first-class, reasonably priced, and always available at the local grocery store. For chili powders specifically, I also use the ones available (especially for ancho and chipotle types) from "Kokopelli's Kitchen," an online seller.Highly recommended.

I cannot feel more offended
I can't believe that they sent me a product made in year 2008.I would've never bought it if I knew I'd receive a 2-year-old grocery. And what kind of respond I heard when I called? They said thet can't give a refund on foods. Now I'm sitting miserably in the kitchen all day long thinking that there's not much time left till the expiration date and I have to throw away this 'never-seen-it-fresh' chili powder before I can use a half of it.

High Sodium Version
I figured this was just a larger packaging of the McCormick Chili Powder you find in the supermarket, which is a very serviceable chili powder. However, this "Choice" formula has 3-10 times the salt - 60 mg. per serving in this one vs. 7-20 mg in the regular supermarket varieties. Way too salty to be useful.

False advertising
The product itself is great, its just the amazon misleading listing that sours the palette, Item i clearly advertised as containing 2 container of 20oz chilli blend but once again only a single 20oz jar has been received
