For people complaining about the shipping prices for this food, you can buy direct from The Rat Shop and the price is better.My rats love this food! One of them steals all of it out of his bowl and hides it in his litter box, which is kind of gross but not the food's fault. I've seen this food highly recommended on rat forums, and I feel better now that I know I'm feeing my rats a diet that is actually appropriate for them, rather than food from pet stores, which often does not have the appropriate nutrients and often contains food that aren't very good for rats. I mix this with Oxbow Regal Rat Food to provide them variety. This food is maybe more expensive some some, but they eat all of it unlike some rat food mixes.I bought a 2lb bag and it's lasted me over 2 months with 2 rats (mixing it with other foods).

We actually have 2 prairie dogs and not rats at all. A vet recommended we give our prairie dogs a very small amount of lab grade rodent diet a few times a week to supplement their diet. It contains vitamins and minerals good for our prairie dogs. Our prairie dogs love this stuff. It is like candy to them and we nicknamed it “rat crack”.

My girls don't like block food as much as kibble shapes, but this is tied with Mazuri for their favorite block.The nutrition is great, and the feed analysis sheet they provide is nothing short of beautiful (to my nerdy eyes)

The package arrived faster than predicted and despite the envelope it was sent in being really beat up the food inside was still whole thankfully. I only ordered 2 lbs because I wasn't sure if my 3 girls would eat it or not. I've included it in with the Oxbow and Mazuri as an even mix that is 30-40 percent of a mix for them. so far they are piling the mazuri (and or this) up and not eating either of them. I'm hoping that will change. I'll change my review later if they do start eating it. I've heard good things about this food and I'd really like my girls to be on it *fingers crossed***UPDATE**My rats wouldn't go near it. They eat their oxbow and the other stuff (veggies, fruits, ands the grain mix) but they wont touch this lab block. I had hoped they would because I want them on the healthiest but it isn't going to happen. I ended up tossing all of it.

Good quality food for my rats. When I give this to them in the morning, it's the first thing they grab. They like to hide it and then eat it later. My vet said it's good for their teeth as well since it's hard. The only thing I didn't like is that is comes in a paper bag that was taped up. That was a little weird and I was worried it had ripped, but it came out fine.

Rats like this food better then the oxbow food I bought at a pet store. It's big blocks and the blocks are not messy to the touch or anything. Seems to be keeping the rats very healthy and happy.

Yes the shipping is pricey but it seems to have made a big difference in my pets smell. I love pet rats, but in the past I have had to give them away after awhile because of the smell of their urine. I have read that giving them a good diet helps to eliminate their strong odor and I am assuming that may be true. My pets love it and I will be ordering more in the future.

Got it because my girls don't need soy products, with phytoestrogens that may increase risk of tumors. This is a really good quality diet.
