Lag putting has not been a problem for me. It's the shorter putts where more often than not I'm lipping out or I'm missing to one side. The lines on the mat and drills that Dave has devised really do help to reenforce proper alignment. I also prefer not putting into an actual hole so I can work on distance control. It's better to watch the ball roll over the circle and still stay on the mat. On another note, the underside of the matt grips my smooth wood flooring. My last mat tended to slide around. I highly recommend this mat by Dave Pelz.

Does not lay flat!

Alignment lines are great and it’s a nice long length.

The ball only roles true on the right side (3 ft putt) of the mat. The center put (9 ft) drifts about 1 inch right and the left putt (6 ft) drifts about 3 inches to the right. All the drift is in the last 3 feet of the mat. I have had the mat down for over a week and will wait a few more days in hope that it corrects itself. Mat was delivered in a rolled up condition, so nothing apparent to cause the "ball drift".
