Call Me Crazy

A Must Read!
Call Me Crazy by Melanie Harlow is book three in the Bellamy Creek Series. It focuses on Enzo Moretti and Bianca DeRossi. I have been looking forward to this book since their banter in book number two.Enzo needs to settle down and get a wife in order to inherit his families company. Bianca had wasted years in a relationship that was going nowhere and has fertility issues and needs a donor, they both can’t stand each other but can help each other get what they want in life. But what will happen when feelings start to get involved?Oh My Goodness!!! I laughed so hard at certain times in this book, some parts were in public and I got looks from strangers like I was crazy. Being at that age growing up with twilight made this book so much more enjoyable. When Enzo has his sweet moments he will make you swoon. The internal struggle and doubt and pain Bianca goes through in this book will hit a lot of women in all of the feels, it sure did me, going through things like that. And the outside opinions of others and comments people make is all so relatable. I am sure even women without fertility issues have had these comments made to them. Melanie has this way of taking some serious issues and have us take a journey with our hearts through them all while still making us feel good and laugh, it’s such a great gift.I honestly think this is my favorite book in this series. And I am going to recommend it to everyone I come across. I do recommend reading the previous books first if not the other two then at least Make Me Yours to really get the full banter and enemies to lovers experience with these two.ARC exchanged for an honest review

Playful and profound- Melanie’s best to date!
This book is basically the literary equivalent of the heart eyes emoji!! Just when I think I couldn't love this series any more, Call Me Crazy charms and smolders itself straight up to my series favorite. Sweet, playful, swoony, and with the perfect dash angst- this is everything that I love about Melanie Harlow. From their witty banter and sexy chemistry to their soulful connection, Enzo and Bianca captured my heart completely. Call Me Crazy is a heartfelt and tender reminder how love can manifest in the most unexpected way, how finding it can be messy, perhaps even crazy, but taking the risk may find you exactly where you are meant to be. And Enzo and Bianca- swoon- I've never seen a couple so perfectly meant to be.I could tell you more about how sexy this story is, how phenomenal the chemistry is, how funny the banter and how charming every character is. The perfect pace, the beautiful writing, the sincerity...but you know all that, this is a Melanie Harlow book after all. These two are simply PERFECT for each other in every way, but I have to talk about something else in this story that touched me so differently I feel I won't be the same. Saddle up- I’m about to get personal.I’m going to go ahead and tell you now that my review will not do this book justice. There are so many reasons to adore this story- but the reason that is so hard for me to put into words comes down to this: Bianca. It's not often you see intimate parts of your own identity so keenly and affectionately depicted in the books you read. Sure, we often relate to characters, feel affection, are deeply connected to them (which I always feel in MH books). But there are these special moments when we find characters that we more than relate to- where you feel like parts of yourself are being exposed through them. Where just reading a character makes you feel vulnerable, VISIBLE in a way that goes beyond just relating to their story. Because those moments only happen when parts of those characters are parts of you- where their story isn't just theirs, it's yours. And for me, I found that in Bianca. I found myself unexpectedly sobbing early in the book, when Bianca tells Enzo, "I want to have a baby, and I'm done waiting for it. Why shouldn't I get to experience being a mom just because I haven't found real love." I knew then that Bianca was more than a character to me- and with every passing page, I felt more intensely connected to her. I don't just relate to Bianca's heart- part of it beats as my own.As someone who has spent much of my life with PCOS,I’ve lived with the weight of doctors proclaiming I would like not be able to conceive (something I was told at the ripe old age of 16). I’ve spent most of my life mourning a hypothetical existence that many take for granted, that is biologically assumed. Something that was (and is) and important part of the live I wanted for myself. Like Bianca, I’ve felt the passing tick of my own biological clock with every waking moment- and my goodness, how liberating it was to see a heroine who embodied such a central part of my being. But most importantly, how empowering to see that same character CHOOSE herself. DECIDE on herself- to see a character reclaim herself, her power, and to find a path to the happiness she wants. She doesn’t let it define her anymore, though that doesn’t make it any less hard or painful. Beyond the injustice, the pain, the fear of it all- Bianca finds her happiness.Of course, the path to that is not easy for her or Enzo- romantically or biologically. Melanie perfectly balances realism here with still keeping the book sweet and not too heavy. She acknowledges and respects Bianca’s challenges, but she doesn’t let that be the totality of her story. In fact, she ensures Bianca is a vibrant and realIzed character- she’s funny, she’s smart and kind, she has goals and other dreams. She’s more than her fertility - though that’s an important part of her, it’s not HER. She lives- and loves- and she can do all that and still want to be a mom more than anything. She can still grapple with the fear and anger of her body, and the worry that if she doesn’t find “love” fast enough, young enough hope will be lost for that dream, without that being ALL she is. And y’all- I’ve never felt such hope. I swooned, I sighed, but what touched me the most was being SEEN. My pain, my challenges feeling VISIBLE - for something so intrinsic in me to be valued, respected, and to be conveyed with optimism and love. With joy.My story might not be entirely like hers- because hers has Enzo, and I wish mine did too. MY GOODNESS. I was not prepared to love this man the way I did. He makes every other man in this series look average..boring even. SWOON. He’s full of himself and sardonic, playful and very witty, but he’s also so compassionate, sweet and sincere. He has a sensitivity and vulnerability that is so transparent and inviting- and the way he shows up for and ultimately loves Bianca rocked me to my core. This is how we dream about being loved- Enzo does it right.Their intimacy is truly the best of the series- maybe of all Melanie books. And not just the sexy times (although those burned me up)- but it is their emotional connection. These two become best friends from enemies - so quickly and easily. Like it was always meant to be. They see each other truly- they value and lift each other up. This is what true partnership looks like- they find safety and family in each other. That’s the beautiful irony- what starts as a lie becomes the truest part of their hearts. Please, read this book. Even if the story doesn’t personally resonate with your experience as it does mine, it is truly a beautiful story. Chemistry and character writing at its finest. THIS Is what romance is all about. A story that gives you hope about love and life. A story that reminds us that love will come- it just takes that leap of faith. But a story that also reminds us we don’t have to wait for it to decide on ourselves- that we can chart the course to our happy. I live for Melanie Harlow's small town romances, and this one is now my dearest- my heart is so full!

SO GOOD
Who would've thought that the Italian playboy would have the SWOONIEST love story? Not me, I'll tell you that. Though I've been loving this series so far, I was a little bit nervous about Enzo's book, because last we saw him, he was dating a twenty-year-old and still giving smoldering looks to every woman who walked by. But he is just a big ball of adorable in this, and I loved every minute of it. The perfect combination of sweet, sass, and steam, this leads with the sexual tension before transitioning into a heartfelt, emotional read that excels at subtlety. I loved the honesty, the juxtaposition of viewpoints, and the build from (almost) loathe to lust to lasting love. The story follows Enzo, a man from an Italian Catholic family. His parents expect him to settle down and get married sooner rather than later, and the family business is on the line. A playboy at heart, Enzo still doesn't feel ready to get married, but he's willing to make it happen if it gets him the business. Things don't go according to plan with his first proposal, but they start looking up when Bianca enters the picture. A frenemy from a family with similar values to his own, Bianca is the kind of woman who stirs up all kinds of feelings in Enzo. Not the sexual kind, of course. Enzo still remembers Bianca as the quiet bookworm he knew in his teens, but she's always known how to push his buttons. When Bianca agrees to temporarily be his wife - as long as she can try for the baby she's always wanted - Enzo doesn't see the harm in a business transaction between frenemies. The friction between these two is fantastic - a bit of sexual tension that isn't readily apparent to either character, but builds along the way. They seem like opposites on the surface, but the better they get to know each other, the more commonalities they find. I loved some of the subtler moments - the peek into married life, the strain infertility can have on a relationship, and how both Enzo and Bianca shoulder the "blame" for not getting pregnant. This has plenty of light and steamy moments, but there are some emotional ones as well. There's a little of everything, and that's what makes this such a great read. So, I'm happy to say that Enzo was everything I could've hoped for and more - a sweet, loving, arrogant man who still knows how to smolder.

Challenging Reasons
Intriguingly, when Enzo and Bianca, two forceful and opinionated people instantly decided to get married they definitely both had ulterior motives. He wanted to take over the family business and had to be married to do so. And she wanted a baby within marriage. They drew up a contract of do's and don'ts but actually being in love was not considered to be important and was not on their list. After all,. it was to be a marriage of convenience. But did they both get what they wanted.Well clearly to get the answer, you must grab this lively, funny and entertaining book .

Sweet and spicy
As the eldest son, Enzo is expected to take over the family business when his father retires. It’s something he desperately wants too, but there’s just one snag. He needs to be married by the time he’s 35.One night he finds himself confessing this to his nemesis, Bianca. Their families have always been friends but they’ve always clashed for some reason. Well, it turns out that Bianca wants something too. A baby. She was all set for fertility treatment and just needed to pick a donor, but her family is so vehemently against it that she hasn’t proceeded with her plan. But if she marries Enzo, he’ll get the business, and he could give her a baby! Two birds, one stone. But you know what they say about best laid plans…Ah these two were so frustratingly stubborn! Once they figure out they actually like each other as people and that their sexual chemistry is on fire, it’s like they just turn off all logic and stop being honest with each other about their feelings. About what they want. I mean I get it, the fear of rejection is a powerful motivator but…come on guys! They both needed a good shake towards the end! Luckily their friends (and Enzo’s mum) were there to do so!I can totally sympathise with Bianca’s fertility issues, but the fact that they only gave themselves 3 months was ridiculous! Most couples even without fertility issues take longer than that to get pregnant! What happened to the original year long deal? That should’ve been the case regardless of the baby outcome. But really that was my only real gripe with the story.I especially loved how passionate they were, that they drove each other insane but still wanted each other more than anything.A little sweet, a little spicy, a lot passionate and fiery. A fun read!

Brilliant
Absolutely brilliant.Loved this book.Loved the storyline and the characters and their connections with each other.Adored Enzo and Bianca and the loving connection between them both. So, so happy they made up and made it work and had their HEA. Loved the sweet extra epilogue too. Brilliant that they both got their wish in having a house full of children and Grandchildren and were both well into their octogenarian years.

Love love love
Ahhh Enzo and Bianca’s story was everything!!!Enzo never wants to settle down but due to a family tradition he has to be married to inherit his families business.Bianca has problems finding good men they all seem to lead her on then let her down which is a huge problem as she is desperate to have a baby. When these two decide to help each other out so they can both get what they want without having to deal with falling in love they think everything is perfect until feelings start to get involved.

Heat, humour and a happy ever after
There are four books in the Bellamy Creek series - the last one is coming out on the 24th may. All are standalone, but I would recommend reading them all in order as the characters run through all the books. I won’t tell you any details about this story you just need to read it - it’s got a bit of everything - humour, heat and happy ever after. Melanie writes really lovely warm books - it’s a feel good thing, a hug in book form.
