YETIRambler 14 oz Mug, Vacuum Insulated, Stainless Steel with MagSlider Lid, Stainless

I love my Yeti cups for coffee, they stay warm for about 6 hours which is perfect. Steel never scratches no matter how many washes. The top can definitely leak quite a bit. Overall great value for how long you have it.

This mug was not what I envisioned when I ordered it but it quickly won me over. The volume is excellent for a cup of tea or other beverage. The handle is comfortable and usable for lifting and mug hand wrapping. The base has a slight recess in the center allowing for level sitting on slightly uneven surfaces. It is squat compared to most mugs but that allows for better stability and less likelihood for being knocked over. The lid is excellent and while the magslider is not completely watertight, it only passes small amounts of liquid in the unlikely event of a tumble. The construction is sturdy: I have already accidentally had mine slip off a three ring binder I was carrying onto asphalt and the only result after three bounces was a few tooth marks in the plastic lid, no deformation of the mug itself. I have the stainless exterior type.

It keeps my coffee warmer longer than other coffee cups

I got this for my Birthday and I bought more of them . I’m obsessed with these . Great for camping flys will not land on the rim while you sit it down. Because of the lid . Great coffee mug and it makes a great gift .

I own several other brands of vacuum insulated containers for hot and cold beverages and soups. One beverage mug is by Brumate, which is a high-end brand. My Yeti containers will keep ice cubes in the beverages all day long. When I bring hot soup to work in the mug I am reviewing, it is still very warm five hours later. The bottom line is you get what you pay for. And even though the Brumate is a pricey mug, it doesn't hold a candle to any of my Yetis. I also appreciate the magnetic slider lids. So easy to use and totally leak-proof. Now there are certain Yeti products that cost far beyond my means, such as their coolers. But if you are looking at spending an extra $10-$20 for a Yeti beverage tumbler or mug, you will certainly end up with a container that far outperforms many if not most of its competitors. I will only buy stainless cups not painted.Eventually, they will peel being washed in the dishwasher.

This brand clearly has a cult following. I wanted a mug that would not be so tall that I had to remove the base of my coffee maker to fit it, wanted the coffee to not spill while carrying it to my home office, and wanted it to be dishwasher safe. Although the Yeti ones with painted color (DuraCoat) suggest being dishwasher safe, many report the coating starts to flake off over time. I contacted Yeti and they confirmed this one is stainless only and without any coating that might degrade over time.The stainless finish one looks decent. The mug feels to be of good quality. The magnet lid is a neat design. Overall, I am pleased with it. I will say that it does not keep things piping hot for a significant period of time. I have Contigo mugs that do a much better job of keeping things hot and are pretty much spill-proof. This Yeti top is not spill-proof, and they do tell you that. My Contigo mugs are not dishwasher safe and are overly tall requiring me to remove the bottom of the coffee maker each time to let them fit.So, in closing, it is a nice mug that is dishwasher safe (the stainless-colored version). It is not as well insulated as some others out there, and it is not spill-proof. I would buy it again. Should last many years.

Even though Yeti says it's dishwasher safe, I handwashed it since day one. The product is visible stained but usable.Updated 6/8/24: use "Astonish" cleaner, also available on Amazon to clean Yeti mugs and tumblers and it will actually show better results than hand washing. See reviews and pics

It's sturdy, keeps my hot drinks hot, and insulates well. I got the stainless steel version, and it came with a label on the mug stuck on with an adhesive. When I removed the label, the adhesive glue remained on the mug, and it couldn't be rubbed off. That annoyed me, but I was luckily able to remove the glue with some citrus cleaner, and there's no trace of it left. The lid isn't a screw-on, and depends on a rubber seal to stay in place. That design typically worried me. I purchased mugs from other companies in the past where the seal wasn't perfect, and the liquid would drip through. In this case, the seal is perfect, and nothing drips. I do worry that adding and removing the lid might cause the seal to wear down over time, but I don't expect that to happen any time soon if ever. The MagSlider works as advertised, although that wasn't a huge selling point for me. I'm satisfied with the purchase overall.

First class product, well made, practical, it does the job it was designed to do, good size and with the addition of the lid it keeps drinks hot for a long time.I use it every day.
