The Big Book of EVEN MORE Therapeutic Activity Ideas for Children and Teens

Recently, I mistakenly submitted a negative review for this book which was meant for another book...Joiner's activity book has been a wonderful addition to our counseling work with adolescents. Her activities are interactive, relevant, engaging, and creative. Our students enjoy them for these reasons and our staff appreciates them because they can easily tie them in to their lessons. You will need to have materials for many of these activities which make for much kinesthetic and active learning. In addition, we have found that the activities have encouraged creativity in other areas as well. I am grateful to have encountered this book, and highly recommend it to those who work with adolescents either one-to-one or in groups.

Great book for group therapy! I love that it has so many great activities that are relevant to the world we live in. However DO NOT BUY IT THROUGH KINDLE! You may want to copy the activities but you can't print any of them out if you buy them through your kindle. I know, I have done this and will probably be asking for a refund. Overall great book, just​ wish I could copy/print the activities out.

Organized, easy to use. Table of Contents makes activities easy to find. Activities can be used for a variety of ages for the individual counseling session, for an in-service, or at home with family. I like the way that fun activities are planned to develop communication skills and character. I gave one as a gift to a person who is using it in Spain to teach English to Spanish speaking young people. Another I sent to a friend who is a School Counselor in a private Christian School.

I like this book a lot, but I am disappointed because I thought it was for older kids. definitely wouldn't say it's for teens. It's even tough to use this with preteens.

A must own for anyone who works with kids

Amazing! I usually have low expectations for these types of books, but these activities are both feasible and "non-cheesy." Flipping through the book, I can see myself using at least 90% of them. I can't wait to try them out.

Awesome book and activity for kids that I work with. I have the first book and decided to purchase this book due to being happy with the first book. I would highly recommend this for anyone working with kids as far as counseling.

A good book for lots of ideas when working w middle schoolers.

If your therapy is purely art based then having a book that gives 101 ways to colour, cut out and write then this is for you.For those who like to use various materials and perhaps work with traumatised children who can’t vocalise and share their feelings, save your money and use google or Pinterest

I also bought the other book in this series, really fun and helpful activities, which are really easy to use, I like how it is set out with ice-breakers and getting to know each other activities. As I work with children I can see this being a brilliant tool to use.

Superb. Love this. Great intervention support, very effective. Kids love it. It's better than the first one I think, covers more topics.

This is a fantastic book. It has lots of great ideas. I felt I needed some new refreshing things to do with my clients and it has. Easy to follow instructions with great results at the end.
