Whitman's Sampler Mother's Day Gift Box, Dark Chocolate Assortment, 10 Ounce (22 Pieces)

I have purchased many of these over the years I'm 84 years old when I was growing up from a very rich family we were barely making it but every once in a while on Sundays we would get these at a drugstore that would be about 1950 or so and I think the price was probably a buck and a half or so outstanding product and Americans have been enjoying these since 1848. I understand thank you, Whitmans.

this tasted terrible. i mean, it was pretty cheap, but obviously terrible quality. it was basically how it claimed on the marketing except everything tasted like trash. it didn’t even taste like chocolate, the textures were terrible, and there was a weird artificial hand-sanitizerish aftertaste. 0/10 DO NOT BUY.

Chocolate inside were really beat up because the box is kind of crappy. One of the reasons I purchased this product was for the box for nostalgic purposes, but that’s not what arrived. Chocolates were good other than looking beat up.

I guess I’ve gotten lucky because every time I order Whitman’s from Amazon they are fresh like they have just been made. Honestly, these taste as good as chocolates you’d buy from a candy shop. I love the dark chocolate version since I can’t find them in stores. The cheap price is good and bad because I have a tendency to buy (and eat!) too many.

I have been giving my grandchildren and their Dad their own Whitman Sampler box for the last 10 Christmases. They expect it and as soon as they unwrap, each opens the box and eats their favorite piece. It's delicious chocolate candy. Two like dark chocolate and one likes milk chocolate so everyone is very happy with theirs.
