Great repair part
Mine came in box labeled dyson genuine components. Perfect fit into my DC39. The whole product is well engineered and disassembly/reassembly was a piece of cake. I researched the process on youtube videos first, so there was no guesswork. Motor works great, now I have a like new vacuum.*sidenote* There is a foam seal on the top of the cyclonic collector assembly, you may want to research and replace this too while replacing the motor, mine was torn and allowed dirt to bypass.

Works as expected
Installed and it works as expected. Had some break-in smell, but now it is good.

Easy to install & works
I got this to replace a burned motor. Overall it was easy to replace and works so far. Let’s see if it will last.

Vacuum motor
Worked perfectly in our Dyson ball vacuum. Saved me from having to buy a new one.

Easy fix for an expensive machine.
Easy switch out thanks to You Tube. Works great! I am a lady and I had no trouble breaking down our 3 year old Dyson DC39 to the motor and removing the motor after checking it out to see if it could be repaired. The brushes looked fine so I just ordered a new motor since that is as far as I wished to go. Worth the money!1.30.2017 Upadate: The motor has failed. I am very upset that this expensive Dyson DC39 has burned out another motor. I change my rating to a 1. When it worked, yay. But then the motor shut off that was it. Bad smell. Was it a rebuilt motor? I'll never know. I'm not putting any more money into this thing. Should have listened to Consumers Report.

When ordering motor for this vacuum replace filter to.
I looked up on "you tube" replacement of motor for this model and was most helpful in replacing. Everything is working well!

Easy to replace the motor, only need one tool, a star screwdriver
Our vacuum cleaner failed after many years and a lot of use. When we realized the motor was no good anymore, we looked to replace the vacuum cleaner with the same kind. The cost of this vacuum cleaner was $449.00. Not really excited about spending $449.00 for a new vacuum cleaner, I decided to take it apart and see if I could just replace the motor. It was much easier than I thought, and only requires one single star shaped screw driver (can't remember the size, but I just happened to have that one). It took about an hour, but could easily be done in 20 minutes if I would have known exactly what to do. The vacuum cleaner is now like brand new again, since the motor is really the only thing that should wear out over time. Note that the motor was only $57.00.

Perfect fit.
My particular model has a separate power control board. I had to remove the board from this motor to install. Otherwise, it was an easy install with decent DIY documentation available on YouTube.
