Alikay Naturals Lemongrass Leave In Conditioner, 8 oz

So, I had a really, really hard time finding a low protein leave in that was light, easily absorbed into hair and wouldn't leave me feeling greasy after a few days of use. This stuff is AMAZING. I just mist my hair to wet it, spray in a generous amount, then style like normal every morning and my waves look amazing. My hair has gotten way softer since using it and even after 3-4 days without a wash or cowash I don't see any buildup.The scent is nice, kind of an herbal, lemony aroma that isn't too strong and after I put in my other products I barely notice it, which I like. I don't want any super strong scents, since I'm a guy. This product also works great with cream leave in conditions and you can use them together (sparingly). The amount in the big bottle is also a fairly good deal, $20 felt like a lot at first, but it lasted me about 2 months, so its actually really reasonable.I would highly recommend this, especially if you have dry, low porosity hair and are struggling to get moisture into your hair.

I have tried SO LONG to find a reasonably priced leave-in that is CG approved, works well as a leave in, but also as a curl refresher for non-wash days, and FINALLY my search is over!! I love... ALMOST everything about this. My one complaint, not even worth reducing an otherwise 5-star rating, is the scent. It is lemony and sweet - not strong and harsh, or too much like soap like I've run into with other leave-ins that were otherwise almost adequate - but something about it really reminds me of whatever product is used in urinal cakes, or freshly-cleaned portapottys. The scent does fade pretty quickly, and again, it's definitely not a deal-breaker given how spectacularly well the product works otherwise, but it is a little off-putting.

Love the smell & results

My teen is a high school swimmer so during swim season it’s a pretty busy time. She doesn’t always completely dry her hair as I would like to save time. By doing this, her braids and/or twists can sometimes smell like mildew until she is able to fully re-wash it by the end of the night. Switching to this conditioner has done wonders to help with detangle and add a nice smell as well!

This is a staple in my arsenal. I am forever in love with the smell of this and sometimes I just open it to smell..lol. This does an awesome job of moisturizing hair both dry and wet. Leaves my 3c/4a curls well hydrated and soft. I just ordered more of this and am currently stretching what I have left at home with water- its THAT good! I really want to purchase the gallon bottle but I think I'll wait for black Friday to do that. If you like the heavenly smell of lemons and you're looking for a nice, light-weight moisturizer you should definitely try this.Only CON- this finished really fast. The possibility exists that I'm using a bit too much; however I am not the first natural to make this observation. One suggested stretching with water which seems to be working so you might want to try that to get more uses out of this.

This leave-in smells amazing and feels cooling and pleasant on the scalp. I'm going natural with my hair, and it's been a difficult journey so far, but I am very pleased with the effect of this product. My curls are defined, moisturized, soft, and my scalp feels much better than it has in a while. It's a large bottle and it doesn't take much to distribute throughout my hair, so I feel like the bottle will last for a long time, which makes it a much better value, and I love that the ingredients are very natural.

UPDATE 4/30/20: I am confused how I just bought this in December for $20 and and only 4 months later this product is now $35.....WOW, what a way to price gauge. I was about to order another but I am not interested in paying that much when I payed must less only four months ago. I am also going to lower my 5 star rating because that's just cruel to increase the price by that much. I will look elsewhere..December 2019 - I love, love, love this product. My hair is so dry and I've tried so many different products that didn't work. This by far had been the best one for my hair. The smell is very nice and it leaves my hair feeling soft and silky. Although, it's a bit pricey, I will buy again when I run out because this works best for me. I would recommend this item.
