According to web MD, L- arginine is an amino acid that is needed by the body to help build protein. It is found dairy products, fish, poultry, and red meats.I decided to take L-arginine as a supplement since I cannot eat dairy products and rarely eat poultry, fish, and red meats so am probably deficient in this.This product does not have much of a taste to it. It does not dissolve well in liquid though. If left for a few minutes, it will settle to the bottom of the cup.I have been taking this for a week now and have not noticed any side effects from taking this.The only thing I would change about this is the info. On the package it would be nice if the instructions on the amount to take was listed by volume not by weight. Better yet, if there was a small spoon/scoop included that measures the exact dose needed. I received this at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased review.

Price and shipping was fine. Product is fine. However, there are two dates printed on the label: 20151202 and below that 20171203. Since the 'batch date' and 'expiration date' at the bottom of the label are blank, I have to deduce that these two numbers printed are the batch date & expiration date...Dec. 2, 2015 & Dec. 3, 2017. So this arginine powder is already 10 months old when I got it. In contrast, another bulk amino I bought from a different supplier has an expiration date of May, 2019. Also, the foil pouch is wrinkled and creased so that when looking at the inside contents you can see light shining in through the creases. Shouldn't be a problem since I am storing in a dark cupboard but just be aware and don't store it in daylight.

Great value not sure how I'll ever know if it has any benefit since I've changed numerous lifestyle activities for good health. Tastes horrible, must mix with something other than water.

I train multiple times a week in various calisthenics, yoga, martial arts, flow arts, and strength exercises. I enjoy a boost to keep me going longer, help my workouts get propelled to the next level, and feel better overall. I have been taking BCAA's, L-Glutamine and other various amino acids to support with this and with this L-Arginine I have found yet another amino acid to add in there. As it is non-essential our bodies don't produce it but get it from other food sources - (correct?) - it is definitely a great addition to my pre workouts and will be using it on most of my gym trips.
