The Party Food Bible: 565 Recipes for Amuse-Bouches, Flavorful Canapés, and Festive Finger Food

I, most often, cook for myself since my Wife passed. However, frequently, I like to share my work with family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. Until recently I would not go to ANY amount of trouble to prepare myself a meal. But within the last 2 years I have cooked more to personally enjoy my cooking, as well as to share. This book has many very good foods that I have tried, and I look forward to cooking more. The pictures are very helpful and of good quality. They show utensils and serving items. as well as so many quality pictures of what the food can look like. There are pages of very helpful tips, ideas, and things to think about in advance. Disclaimer, I do not know the author(s), but after going through this book, I would not turn down ( nor should you ! ) an invitation to any type event they would host. If you enjoy cooking, eating,and sharing - You will enjoy this book.

My boyfriend is a chef, so I’m always on the hunt to find recipes that are simple, but look like I know what I’m doing, lol! This book was a last minute purchase, but boy, has it been amazing! So many treats that look upscale, but are easy to make. There’s several that are more in depth and complicated, but most are easy for at home parties. A definite winner!

As a small town art gallery owner, I do it ALL. That includes yummy food, on a budget, to entice and feed the opening night (and sometimes day) guests. This is TRULY a bible to consult. Great buy and great resource.

I threw a Christmas cocktail party for family and friends. Before the party, I bought three new appetizer books on Amazon. After reading all three, I returned two because I realized that The Party Food Bible had everything I could possibly need and more. That party received rave reviews.I threw a baby shower yesterday and used this book again. We did a travel theme and the international sections helped us select a wide range of small bites to serve. And the end of the party I brought out this book because everyone was raving about the food. Expect a large uptick in sales in the next few weeks from my party guests.I love that this book has pictures of EVERYTHING. It really helps with presentation.If you like this book, I would also recommend Hors d'Oeuvres Handbook as they are similar. However, I feel that The Party Bible is a bit more modern.

This is a great book for getting ideas of what to serve as appetizers. Individual recipes might seem a little basic, but in those cases I would take the suggestions and find a more interesting recipe for the same appetizer in another cookbook. Excellent reference and idea book, with many good recipes.

Actually it is a gorgeous book with gorgeous and numerous ideas but the photographs do not appear on the same page as the recipes and that is something that I cannot understand of the author and it is most frustrating and time-consuming to have to go back-and-forth but I’m keeping the book because the photographs are gorgeous and inspiring to make the recipe if you can find it.

I prefer small bites of different foods for most meals with many different tastes and textures. That's just me. I still haven't tried everything included in the book but it will be a fun adventure working my way through. It's a joyful addition to my cookbook library.

Great ideas for "amuse-gueules". I made a few recipes for a baby shower and got compliments: Gougere (cheese pate-a-choux), mini quiches, mushroom and cognac vol-au-vent, and parmesan wheels were all successful. It inspired me to try my hand at eclairs as it uses the same base as the pate-a-choux dough given in the recipe book. I did have a look at youtube to get more comfortable with how to make them.The kindle version is not easy to use though, and I am sure the book is much better.

I love cooking, especially for parties and get-togethers so am I going to have a ball! A huge selection of delightful, appetising party food that should enchant even the most unhandy cook. Makes you want to reach out for pen and paper and start compiling guest lists. Especially suitable for buffet "dos", but also for those convival reunions of school and uni friends or long time no see relatives that require both original, scrumptious finger food and more traditional recipes to set the party going.With some nicely matching wines, naturally. A great aquisition for my library of cook books and a very good read too. Do buy!

This is such a great book and the perfect reference for caterers and party throwers worldwide! I love it and have been carrying it around in my bag ever since I received it. Really well laid out and full of ideas that you can then adapt to your own style. A really fantastic book.
