The Healing Power of Rainforest Herbs: A Guide to Understanding and Using Herbal Medicinals

I have been a faithful believer and consumer of the healing products that Leslie Taylor talks about in her book since the beginnings of the internet in 1995. I love her website, rain-tree.com. Check it out if you want to know the specifics of this book. The book complements the rain-tree website 100%. As a result of her website, I learned about herbs and purchased them on websites where they were available. They are truly healing. The herbs I've used, to date, daily, or often, are chanca piedra, cat's claw, sarsaparilla, graviola, annatto, yerba mate, and jatoba. They, all, do what they claim to do as they have, all, gotten me out of many a pickle from many health issues. I, recently, gave my copy of this book to a friend who has multiple family members with many health issues, including herself. I, also, gave her some of a couple of the herbs that were relevant to her illnesses. I hope they work for her as they did for me! As for the book, I'll continue to use the rain-tree website until I get another copy of it for me. This book should be in every household.

The way the book is set up and explaining the correct way to use the information is so clear and easy to understand. I found it very informative and educational. I picked out 3 herbs to try and each has been very effective for me. I have loaned the book with the understanding they need to get their own copy as I don't wish to be without my copy. My suggestion would be if a person is doubtful make sure the herb does what you want, then try it without changing anything else and see if it works. Give the herb a fair trial such as a few weeks, see how it affects you personally. My copy is a used copy, very clean and it came quite rapidly. I was very pleased with the book and shipping.

I was looking for anti-cancer herbs and this book mentions several that I would not have known about otherwise. The author wrote the book after her own battle with cancer lead her to research the subject. It’s an encyclopedia of all kinds of herbs and their potential use for many ailments. I wouldn’t solely reply on just herbs to treat ailments, including cancer but certainly as an adjunct with other treatments. I’m thankful to have found this little gem.

Some book I like

Wow! A must have if you prefer to seek your own remedies instead of going to the doctor, (who might know less than you after you read this book). I was hesitant at first to buy this book because I wanted to learn about herbs that I can get and use, but I did find suppliers in a short time for most of the herbs I was interested in. It is also good to learn that other peoples/cultures that do not have access to the american pharmaceutical industry do have their own answers for their ailments, and those people do just fine.The book is extremely well organized.I hope someday this author does an updated version, with all the latest research to complement the research results given in this version.

Great book on Amazonian herbs. My only issue is the poor editing. The author referred several times to interleukins as immune cells. While this was contextually of little significance, it is the sort of blatant scientific error that ruins credibility and hampers the long overdue merger between mainstream sciences and traditional medicines. Herbalists who are presenting from a scientific angle should be sure that that angle is rightly represented and free of foundational errors. Modern herbalism must be built on a robust scientific foundation if it is to survive the 21st century. No practitioner wants to be fact checking every aspect of a work over doubts in the authors competency caused by a single error. That said the value of this book isn't greatly impacted by it due to the wealth of information on traditional use and overview of clinical research

This book has probably helped many lives. Here is a woman who went into the jungles and dedicated her life to find out how they cured and healed diseases. Here is the "amazon", I mean "amazing" thing (lol), We have access to these products, use them and be well. When the FDA cracked down on her and said you cannot state the curing properties of herbs and sell the herbs too, as opposed to keeping her income and selling products, she choose instead to impart all her knowledge to the world and forsake the profits from selling her own products. She felt it was more important to give away all her knowledge. A hard cover book is priceless. It is a reference book you go back to many times. And for us "baby boomers" we are apt to believe the internet could possibly go down for a while or information gets scrubbed, but you have what you need in a book. This is such an awesome book. For years I have followed Leslie taylors work on rain-tree.com and have really enjoyed her plant database (near bottom of page on her site). I am so glad to see the info in the book is pretty much the same that is in the book plus much more! This book is big and tells almost every use of amazon plants to treat just about every kind of medical condition. I would love to seen pictures in this book for each plant, that is it's only down fall, But still is a great study guide for those who want to learn and study their plants, and have internet access to see hundreds of images for the plants they are looking for. Just search online for each plant by name or go to google and then click images. Not the best way of doing it since sometimes shows wrong plant, but the ones you see the most are usually the right plant, you can continue from their to learn more, like scientific name, etc.

Compré este libro buscando información y remedios para desparasitar y quitar infecciones de virus y/o bacterias. Por un problema mío que no daba con solución la comunidad médica. El caso es que una doctora me recetó una fórmula de rainforest para ayudar en mi problema y al investigar en la fórmula que por cierto se llamaba A-Z Amazon, casi como Amazon, encontré a una investigadora impresionante, Leslie Taylor, que había hecho un estudio sin parangón sobre las hierbas del amazonas y sus usos ancestrales en relación a las propiedades curativas. Me pareció fascinante y decidí adquirir el libro, que Amazon me proporcionó rápidamente. Muy recomendable, es muy informativo y si quieres conocer otras opciones posibles a las de siempre, te lo recomiendo. Las hierbas del amazonas son muy poderosas.

Das Buch hätte zwischen 12.-22.9.2015 ausgeliefert werden. Am 25.9.2015 fragte ich bei M4E Media nach. Diese schrieben mir zurück, es habe einen Bearbeitungsfelhler gegeben und das Buch werde in 1 - 2 Wochen ausgeliefert werden. Bis jetzt habe ich allerdings leider noch nichts erhalten.
