Pride Versus Humility

Prince uses this book to teach on the eternal law concerning choosing between pride and humility, using Matthew 23:12 as a theme he continually returns to throughout this book."Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."He points out that humbling ourselves is something we do. That seems obvious from the verse but is often easier said than done because pride is a powerful temptation that works in opposition to humility. It's a choice we are called to make and fortunately Jesus left us a clear example that is on display throughout the New Testament.The closing chapters show how humility comes into play in 3 major areas: in coming to God, in spiritual progress, and in how we relate to others.

As always, very easy to read, and understand, yet it goes really deep. I have never seen a writer who could organize the message in a better way than Derek Prince. I guess this is because of following the Holy Spirit's guidance. This book is a must to read for all believers.

The principles in this book are great, but it is bloated with repetition and overpriced. It's a short book but could be half the length and half the price. Sad because Derek Prince is such a remarkable teacher (books actually written by him are not like this).

A masterpiece by Derek prince once again. Teaches us a lot about the meaning of humility and pride. God loves us too much for us to be prideful

The summaries and constant focus on leading a reader through the book with overviews, goals, recaps, highlights and summaries with questions and reminders was good.
